We love stopping in ma and pa joints. Mark and Kim are stand up folks. They have the absolute best steak and eggs I've ever had & that's my staple order anywhere I go to eat breakfast. We highly recommend giving them your business if able to.

Visiting family from out-of-state. Ordered the Pizza Burger with Fries Burger was well made, cooked well without being burnt. Cheese was perfectly melted. And sauce was just plentiful enough to enjoy without being messy. Fries, surprisingly, came with a sprinkling of seasoning. Crispy and flavorful, didn't even want to use ketchup. The server, Haley, was bright and attentive. Order came out timely and accurate (even the extras). And she was as friendly as they come. I will definitely have to get back here before I return to Chicago.

The Shack Burger was about the same as it has been over the years but have no clue what they tried to pass off as Onion Rings. It was like they started breading them in bread dough instead of the way they used to make them which used to be awesome. All the clumpy pieces on top and throughout have NO pieces of onion in them, not sure what they were supposed to be? No to the onion rings from this point forward! That is if we ever go back since the onion rings were the main draw for us to go eat there.

Such a cute diner, above average diner food. Just in town for the night and this was pretty close to our hotel and saw it had good reviews. I got a coffee brownie shake that was sooo good, everything we had was really tasty. More than enough food

Food good service horrible. Dining by myself wasn't busy. My server brought food then immediately brought check. Never checked on me again. Drink empty almost the entire time there. After 15 minutes of clearly being done but needing box for leftovers, flagged down another server for box. Gave her $5 bill for getting the box for me. Usually leave $10 even on $10 meal when eating by myself, not this time.

Upon a recommendation from a friend, decided to give this restaurant a try. Sure glad I did. I ordered a breaded tenderloin and decided to pay the upcharge for onion rings. Both were delicious. You could actually taste the meat and got a heaping mound of onion rings. To top it off, wanted to try a chocolate shake...oh my. I had forgot how much better a handmade shake tasted. The entire menu had tons of things I would try. You could tell by the crowd, I wasn't the only one loving the food. Our waitress was a sweetie and the decor was a fun reminder of the good old days. Definitely will be back.

No wait to get in Sunday after 1 PM. They do close at 2 PM on Sunday, FYI. Ordered a caramel malt and it was served in the malt glass and the rest was in the mixing tin. It was delicious. I ordered their Classic Ride burger (2 patties, pepper jack cheese) and it was big. My wife ordered the tenderloin and it was huge! Hint: the tenderloin was served without condiments on it. We both got fries and these are battered fries that are fantastic. Both meals were good and required to go boxes.
