The clay cup has a fantastic atmosphere! It is my go-to spot when meeting friends for coffee. The first time I went to the clay cup, I walked up to counter and admitted my ignorance when it comes to Coffee. The Barista patiently explained what each drink on the menu was. I was able to find a drink that has now become my favorite. It was just so nice that someone took the time to help me out. All of the girls that work there are super friendly :-) the clay cup has a great location downtown, perfect for grabbing a cup of coffee and taking a walk. I truly can't recommend this place enough.
I am here on a regular basis. The staff is always friendly and kind!! And they even know my drink preferences. Love the baked goods and endless drink choices. The pottery painting is also a favorite! Absolutely, hands down best coffee shop in town!
Such a lifestyle hub. I enjoy the drinks (and the always lovely and relaxed staff-no pretentious baristas here) and also am amazed at the DIY art options available (like pottery painting, water color class, even make your own bath bombs!!!). Get the unicorn scone.

Kids and I love it we always get hot chocolates it’s hopes favorite I really love the kids little cups are so cute thanks. One these days I’ll try coffee stuff but for now we get hot chocolates. Kids say it’s the best hot chocolate ever so we try to stop get some when we can we got a cup yesterday. It’s a great friendly place and service is always great. It’s always clean. My favorite was the pumpkin scone just saying.
Just stopped for my first time. The guy working was very friendly. I tried an iced chai tea latte, never had one before from anywhere, and it's delicious. I will definitely be back!

Oh my goodness! Today was the first time I have been able to stop in. I tried the Coconut Mocha and their macaroons. Love love love! Enjoyed the vibe and the wonderful staff!
The Clay Cup is just wonderful. Such a wonderful addition to our community. I moved here from Orlando Florida and this cafe reminded me of a place you would find in Orlando and surrounding communities. Such a peaceful and inspiring atomosphere. Thank Sarah & Jeremy and family....

Cute, cool vibe...awesome teas (hot and cold) and lots of gluten free options! If I lived in town, I’d go there daily :)
Has a great atmosphere. Was a perfect place to hang out and catch up with my 12 year old. We enjoyed some of the board games, some drinks and the Cosmic Brownies (we definitely recommend these, lol). Even though we live a little out of the way, we do plan on coming back.
Me and my girls had a "girls night", had a delicious scone and iced mocha (yum!) Everyone was extremely kind and very helpful. We each started with a mug which all turned out beautiful and unique! Can't wait for another "girls night"!
I absolutely love going to the Clay Cup for Chia tea! The baked goods are top notch and pretty tasty. Definitely a return customer! Great local business!
Great spot for an afternoon pick-me-up.
I only tried their matcha, but they also have several food items and also sell whole beans they roast themselves.
They have seating inside but we walked across the street to sit on a bench to enjoy the sun. There’s also a pottery studio located in the back of their shop, fun concept [hence the name ;)]!
A friend of mine and I went to this place for visiting. one of my friends recommended me that this place is one of his favorite places to visit, and I’ve ordered a lavender vanilla. Interestingly, the taste is quite a fashion somehow, complicated to describe. I do enjoy the atmosphere there and it’s a pity that I didn’t join the clay class because of the pandemic. But if in the future there is any chance for me to visit altoona again, I will definitely come to the shop for more adventures.
My son took me here for the first time was so nice we got to sit down talk and drink a vanilla latte. Employees were so nice. And the inside is amazing I love the exposed brick. Thanks Zach☕
We stopped in while waiting for our Amtrak. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Coffee was great and the scones were fabulous. While there we saw just how great the staff was with a local man. Totally worth the visit!
It's such a great little coffee & pottery shop. They have a fantastic staff that is always friendly & very helpful! The atmosphere is pretty relaxed & calming, from the moment you step in the door. They offer a wide variety of coffee beverages & have a coffee shop type food menu with an assortment of tasty pastries! The pottery side of the shop is also a great time, there is also a wide variety of pottery to choose from. The hardest part you will face with the pottery is deciding on your paint colors! It's an all round great place to experience, you won't be disappointed unless you don't get a chance to try their macarons!!
Such a cute little coffee shop! The staff is supppper friendly and the coffee and tea tastes amazing. My hub got pour over coffee and I got their chai tea latte. So hard to find good chai but theirs is great 😍 what a gem in Altoona. They also seem to have pottery classes, and they have local handmade items for sale as well!
The staff was very friendly, it is incredibly clean and the drinks were good! I love the little library for use in store or purchase if you want to finish it at home!
