Ever ate pie that made you wanna cry? This place is amazing! We love supporting small town America and this is a great place to stop!
We had the chicken fried steak with green beans, Texas toast, mashed potatoes, and a side of vegetable beef stew. And we also tried the Green Chile Burro which is served enchilada style (basically a smothered burrito), came with beans and cheese and served with chips and salsa.
To top it all off we had a slice of pumpkin and blueberry pie. We came at the right time because they were still warm out of the oven! Homemade from scratch- we even had them throw on a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream. We left feeling extremely satisfied!
The wait staff were great and friendly too.
Don’t forget to tip your servers! Vote with your dollar! Shop local and support small businesses!

A very friendly hometown Diner. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner. A good selection on the menu for each time you want to eat. Sarah our waitress was absolutely wonderful. I had the open-faced beef roast sandwich and mashed potatoes. Was very good. My wife had a Mexican combo plate. Very large portions so you will get plenty to eat. They also had quite a large assortment of pies. See the attached pictures if you would like.

Good food, and you can't beat the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is the first time I've given any restaurant five stars. I highly recommend it.

Quaint small town diner with very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Fresh pies are amazing. Fruit and pie crusts and very tasty. Makes for a good day trip from Show Low to see beautiful Alpine.

This place could be really good if they put some effort in better quality food.
Great location and employees were very friendly.
We have a place like this in Overgaard that attracts Citidiots willing to spend a lot of money for a little country life.
2 people 2 lunches does not = $36.00
No desert. The table next to us saved us that experience when we overheard the pies are frozen too.
A captive audience keeps these places open.
You can always tell when the restaurant is not a passion for the owner.

Busy. Quaint. Friendly. Typical rural cafe fare. Nothing creative. Just good food when you're a hungry traveler.
