Hope. Superfoods Lounge

We had a Good Accaii bowl here, but the personel was not very customer friendly. No smile, no positive talk - just very cold and distant. The prices are pretty high, so I was surprised when I got my acaii bowl in plastic pot with plastic spoon (do you know about BPE in plastic and environment protection, right?). This place has a lot to work on. Which might be the reason why it was totally empty when other shops around very crowded.

Such a cute place, and it is legit organic as they state. The owner is very passionate and knowledgeable. I see comments about staff "not being friendly", have you ever tried to hire a young good employee? They are hard to find these days, and even harder in Alpine, I'm sure it's not for trying. If you have an opportunity to talk to the owner, your experience will be entirely different. The bowls, butter coffee and smoothies are amazing and not loaded with "pumped sugar" as evidently an unknowable rater on here stated.

TLDR, I paid almost $20 for two drinks that were mediocre at best and waited almost 15 minutes. Only one person working, so there was a long wait too, though the employee was genuinely nice and apologetic about it. Very few actual coffee drinks, most are made with teas and look pretty decent, but very expensive and we were looking for coffee. No option to add own creamer or sugar, so the iced coffee had way too much of those and not enough coffee. I'm sure there are things here for someone, but not someone looking for coffee.

My only complaint is paying close to 25 dollars for a coffee, latte, and acai bowl. They were good but not close to $$$ good. Prices are much more on the higher side. Guess I will know for next time. The positive side was the lady attending us she was nice and friendly. Cafe had a nice vibe and deco.

Review and suggestions for the business: I love that this place is in Alpine so its convenient for me. The acai bowl was perfect and smoothies are great too. I do my best to support local businesses. Their theme is organic whole foods so making other kinds of smoothies chalk full of sugar would not make sense to what they are going for but if they want to increase business, because Alpine has all kinds of everything...it would prob be a better business choice to explore additional options to cater to more smoothie lover markets. But if the model does not change and people dont like it....they need to just go to Jamba Juice and they will be happy to charge you to pump you full of sugar and sugar! :) In any case, You can still make them healthy just add more choices. Its expensive to run a business so the prices reflect that so not sure how much you can lower your prices. Also, I do not see a lot of marketing for this place. I only found out about it because I took the back lot to get to Barons. The owners should try to get out there, maybe deliver to local businesses and provide "louder" promotions. Parter up with other local spots. Just my suggestions. Wish you Much luck. I will return soon😆
