Kremo Ice Cream

Not to Avalon standards, This shop was marginal at best. The ice cream was ok, kids were excited about the process but the store appeared dirty and needed lots of attention. The artwork was missing and peeling, the owners should pay a little more attention to the minor details of their establishment. A little better customer experience will go a long way in repeat clientele.

I've been a fan of the original Kremo location, and this new location at Avalon does not disappoint! They used the same concept as the original location, and made it better. The cream they use is still locally sourced, and pasteurized in store. Their flavors are still naturally derived, and the end product is more creamy than sweet. This is one of the most important distinction between Kremo and other rolled ice cream places. I don't feel like I have to drink a pitcher of water afterwards to counterbalance the sweetness. Enjoying ice cream for the flavor and creaminess?? What a concept!! One change was made for the new location. They now ask you for your toppings when you order your ice cream. This is a better process than selecting your toppings before you get your ice cream. The extra time taken during ordering helps to space out the incoming orders. We have really enjoyed coming to the new location, and having more options for activities before ice cream. We also like the cleaner environment. My only problem now is having to pick between the original location on Pleasant Hill, or the new location at Avalon! That's not a bad problem to have! :)

Terrible customer service, I went into Kremo a couple days ago, the place could use a good cleaning.. usually after customers come in and eat you would expect the employees to sweep the floor or at least clean the tables and straighten up the chairs but none of that was present in my experience. As I was ordering, there were non-employees in the back/behind the register, which was very unprofessional because usually only the workers are allowed In the back. To continue, as I placed my order, the employees, STRAIGHT UP played rock, paper, scissor, shoot on who makes my ice cream, like are you serious. That was very unprofessional and rude to do that in-front of a customer. If you don't wanna do your job, then don't come into work. Lastly, as the ice cream was done, for an overpriced place, it had absolute no taste.

Restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly. When we ordered we asked for an ice cream with graham cracker, strawberry, and toasted marshmallow. I guess we have been spoiled by other rolled ice cream places that actually incorporate your add ins to your ice cream when they make it. We paid $7 for a 5 rolls of ice cream, one piece of graham cracker, one marshmallow, and half of a strawberry sliced laid on top of our cup. Tasted ok but for my money I’d rather go to 8 Fahrenheit.
