Outstanding local owned BBQ. The food is always fresh and served hot. The staff is 5 stars plus always ensuring that everyone has drink refills and whatever else they may need
I do highly recommend the grilled pineapple and new smoked chicken salad
It’s definitely worth a drive if you are within a 100 mile radius

This is a regular stop for us, usually 2 to 3 times a month and it never disappoints. This most recent time was no exception.
Food was all done perfectly with smoky BBQ pork, brisket nachos, and wings. The Brunswick stew is some of the best you will have and the bananas doster (signature take on bananas foster using pudding instead of ice cream) is something you should save room for.
Service was prompt and attentive and had a clean table and space. It can get busy, so going a little early or late isn't a bad idea, as parking can get tight when it gets busy...
If you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for?

Really liked the food. I had a combo plate, with pork & brisket, sides were fried okra and the deviled egg potato salad, sweet tea & the apple cobbler special. My waitress was Abbie. I was greeted & seated quickly, Abbie was great, nice & quick to check & refill without hovering. The pork was really good - good flavor & moist even without sauce. Brisket was a little dry but flavor was great - I'll try it again to see, my piece had limited fat & was pretty lean. For me, what set it apart was both the meats were well salted but not salty, flavorful all the way through, not just at the surface. A lot of BBQ in the area, esp the pork, is really dry. I ate most of it sans sauce. Sauces were good, good choices & well balanced. The potato salad was a little sweet for me but fresh, well made & balanced - I'm not a sweet pickle fan , so it's really my taste not the salad. Okra was good, hand breaded and tasty. Next to the pork, the Apple Cobbler special was the best thing I had. I'm normally pretty disappointed by cobblers & pies (grandma was a damn good cook, set the bar high). This wasn't a disappointment - good solid cobbler, no canned filling, good
balance of spice & sugar, apples fully cooked, saucy but not runny, crust was nice. I'll def be back.

Cold Tasted like left overs my bbq sauce was rotting didn't eat at all smelled funny I got pretty much all the slot sides the fries were good slaw was good mac and cheese was bland collard greens bland. The tomatoes and cucumber was good but didn't look appealing. Sweet potatoes not right can't describe it processed? Never eating there again.

Now I see why so many in the area are always out walking. With so many good places to eat in Alpharetta, you got to exercise just so you can eat more good food.
We stopped by today for the first time. Everything was excellent. Look at the photo. 👀 Per the wife, if you mix the spicy and regular BBQ sauces together, it unlocks magic.

Such a consistent place, both food and quality of wait staff. The BBQ & sauce are excellent, and the side dishes have that homemade on Thanksgiving feel to them. Ask for the burnt end brisket...similar to KC style. Hidden gem are THE BEST wings in all of Atlanta, bar none. Another hidden gem is the bologna sandwich, but when ordering, ask them to lay off the cheese a bit.

Wanted to try something new. something different from the regular pizza, mexican, chinese, fast food places and due to the rainy weather i really had a taste for brunswick stew. i ordered the sliced pork with macaroni and of course stew. the food... is awesome!!! one of the waitresses suggested the sweet sauce and that was GREAT i only wished the brunswick stew was a little more tomato--ey but it was still GREAT!!! parking is LIMITED so to BE or not to BE.... walking lol. Found my new lunch spot! Thanks Cue :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I am from North Carolina, and I know BBQ. This was absolutely fabulous. I had their ribs, Brunswick stew, collards, Bourbon sweet potato souffle, and coleslaw. Definitely worth the drive --- and I have been dreaming about the Brunswick Stew since I left. It's not your typical Brunswich Stew --- it has body and "chew" to it. With a hint of deep smoky BBQ sauce it hits the spot!

Bring your own sauce. The pork and brisket are better than the average bbq restaurant, and the sides are tasty. The staff is uncommonly friendly. But the sauce . . .

I don't think it could be any worse if a pre-K class had come up with the recipe. There is a pasty honey mustard concoction and an equally pasty ketchup-like offering. Both sauces are very different from any sauces I've ever tasted anywhere, anytime, and they aren't barbecue sauces by any standard.

If you give Cue a try, bring your own sauce or just go without. But DON'T ruin the meats with the house sauces. You'll be sorry!

Embarrassing bbq--pizza quite good. Let me preface this with this--my friends call me a foodie, and I am a good cook. I adore BBQ. This is around the corner from my house, so I had high hopes. The BBQ, BBQ sauce, veggies--all quite bad, sadly--some of the worst I've ever had. The light at the end of the tunnel--their sausage pizza is very good--the home made sausage is excellent. We return for the pizza, but always skip the BBQ fare.

It's Okay. This is one of the better BBQ in the area. Not a lot of competition mind you, but all in all it’s okay. The one thing is the owner just flat out can not make BBQ sauce. The red sauce maybe the worst thing I’ve ever eaten when it comes to BBQ sauce. Being from KC sauce is important and this is BAD!! So bad, we always bring our own. The service is usually good, but as of late the bread seems a little old. It’s worth a try. BBQ is a funny thing, everyone likes something different and you might even start a fight talking about. bbq. Cue is worth seeing if you like it...just bring your own sauce for a back up plan!

Disappointed. Started with their new "wings". Huge. Unfortunately the smoked taste didn't hit the mark. At least not for us.

Next up was the entree. Combo plate sliced brisket and pork. Interestingly neither were hot, but just slightly warmed. Brisket was dry and stringy, pork was good. Very few choices for sauce and none of them spicy. I had them bring me some Tabasco for a little bit of heat. Their fries were great as was the Mac-n-Cheese.

Blackberry Cobbler for dessert. HUGE portion with ice cream piled on top. Unfortunately the cobbler itself was terrible. Not sweet at all, but instead very tart. Obviously a bad batch of blackberries.

Despite only a few people in the restaurant at 4:45 PM, the service was slow even though a number of servers were standing around. It seemed only one was actually working and had all of the tables.

In a market flooded with BBQ joints 'Cue needs to separate itself. I doubt I'll be back.

3 times Bad food. Im shocked to see so many positive/good reviews posted. I have tried Cue 3 times now and it has always been a dissappointment. The meat is always grey, bland, not appealing and void of any smoke. I ordered take out today for myself, wife and two kids. She had the pulled pork plate, I had the Brisket plate and the kids just Mac N Cheese. Its a Monday and I should have known we would get leftover weekend food. Like I said before Grey, no smoke, dry yucky meat, total crap food. The "deviled egg" potato salad was something like I have never had and do not want again. It was sweeter than cake icing?? There was nothing deviled egg about it. The stew was just bland, thin and not good. I had high hopes for Cue because god there are no other BBQ joints around worth a flip. After 3 tries I'm done and will not go back. I know the owner helped run Swallow at the Hollow for years but the only similarity between the two is the price. I dont mind spending good money for good products.

They have 3 different sauces to choose from. I went with the KC red sauce. It was quite good. Brunswick stew was good. Collard greens were perfectly flavored. We had the sausage and kraut app. It was great. This was the best kraut I ever had. Perfect smokey flavor. The pickled jalapenos were awesome. We had a great server named "HART". Category: Upscale BBQ Verdict: Family-friendly and safe I'm not sure why I started thinking about 'cue but I've wanted to try it for several weeks now. I finally made it to the Alpharetta site. It's part of the upscale BBQ movement: rustic decorations but waitress service, live music, and a more upscale menu. As an example of their menu's appeal to the broad spectrum, they actually have salads. The salad is a rarity in traditional BBQ; most denizens of such places insist that their greens be thoroughly cooked in pork fat. I decided to try their garden salad with some brisket on top. I started with the brisket. It was tasty and tender, but although it had a prominent smoke ring (you can see it in the photo) I didn't get any smoke flavor. Of course, the bark, that outer layer of the meat, had been removed, making the meat look more like a deli presentation. As you can see, the table comes with versions of three of the basic BBQ sauces: vinegar, tomato, and mustard. My favorite was the mu

'Cue...The Bad and The Good. First the Bad...I first visited 'Cue in the Cumming location on a whim. The decor of the Cumming location was spot on! It was just enough nice with rustic BBQ to be unique and enjoyable. The sides at the Cumming location were perfect, but that should not be a surprise considering these are the guys that started Swallow in the Hallow (or so I have heard)!! The main dish, ribs in my case were not that good though. I felt that they lacked smoke flavor. I was a little disappointed....BUT....

Now the Good...I went to the Milton location yesterday. I figured again, since these are the same guys that started Swallow, I should give them another shot. The Milton location is closer to the house so we packed up the car with kids and we were off for a Father's Day dinner. Although I liked the decor of the Cumming location much more, the ribs at the Milton location were perfect! Smoke flavor, just enough sauce on them that you got your fingers sticky and the just barely gripped the rib bone...that all spells perfect! The sides as usual were great! Mac and Cheese is a must! I also had collards and then split a Deviled Egg Potato Salad. All very good and highly recommended!

I will certainly go back to the Milton location. The Cumming location, although very nice to look at, was not that good to eat at.

BBQ at its best!!!. Cue is by far the best BBQ in north Atlanta, and some of the best I have ever had, this coming from a former resident of Memphis. Cue's chooped pork is great, but it is their BBQ chicken that is unsurpassed, so moist and juciy. The fries with the chipotle ranch sauce are a great side.

Big hits, one miss. Tried 'Cue for the first time last night. Overall, I was really, really impressed with this little joint.

It was small, but attractive, the staff was extremely friendly, it's obviously a local favorite, the food was mostly excellent and the price was right. On top of that, almost everything (if not everything) is made in house, including the pickles! What's not to like?

As for the food itself, I had:

Fries appetizer - huge basket of perfectly cooked and seasoned, hand cut fries with a tasty homemade chipotle ranch dressing

Combo plate with brisket and homemade sausage, accompanied by deviled egg potato salad, macaroni and cheese and homemade pickles, pickled jalapeños and sauerkraut. It all had EXCELLENT flavor. The sausage was moist and exploding with flavor, the sides and pickled veggies were all outstanding and the brisket had an absolutely gorgeous smoke ring. The only downside to the plate was the brisket--although very flavorful--was almost criminally dry and tough. It was step removed from jerky, in my opinion.

There were three different sauces on the table from which to choose: Mustard-based, vinegar-based and a spicy tomato-based sauce. All three were very good, although I absolutely loved the vinegar-based sauce. I even mopped it off my plate with my toast!

I ended the meal with homemade blackberry cobbler a la mode. This was a serious food nirvana moment for me - that cobbler was probably the best I've had in years, if not ever. It was amazing!

Overall, the experience was great. With the exception of the brisket's texture (and the brisket was well smoked and full of flavor), the meal was excellent and that cobbler was incredible.

Wow. My wife and I tried this place on a whim and based on some of the favorable reviews on Urbanspoon. Everything that we had was really good. We started with a 6 rib appetizer (actually got 7) and the ribs were really good. For the meal, my wife had the pulled pork sandwich on a homemade roll. She said it was good as well. I had the pulled pork and brisket combo platter. The pulled pork was very good but I would pass on the brisket next time. My wife had mac and cheese (awesome) and I had the Brunswick stew and deviled egg potato salad. The stew was really good and had a fair amount of meat in it. The potato salad was pretty good but the French fries the kid next to me was eating looked really good. All meals come with a side of homeade pickles that are also very tasty...almost a dill version of bread and butter pickles. Also, most of the meals are served with a piece of grilled homemade bread. Also very good. One key takeaway from our meal was that everything was fresh and HOMEMADE. I would definitely recommend this place and we will certainly be back.

This place rocks!. That Fool who suggested you try an "old joint" for barbecue, musta been smoking something, or else he just wouldn't know good barbecue if it hit him in the face. I worked as a line cook for a few years while I was in college at an old joint like the kind he suggests, and nothing this good EVER came out of that kitchen. I am usually very nervous about ordering an "outside" sliced pork sandwich, because 95 times out of 100 what you will get will either be fatty and disgusting or tough as shoe leather, but when you get it right, it is wonderful. But I had heard rave reviews about this place and decided to give it a shot. The sandwich they put on my plate was SUBLIME!

The meat was lean and tender and piled high on a home-made bread bun - and absolutely the very best barbecue pork sandwich that I have ever tasted. My girlfriend ordered the baby-back ribs and they were fantastic also - such a large portion that her leftovers fed us both later.

As a side, I ordered the beans, and they were very good - sweet, smoky and delicious, but the deviled-egg potato salad was the best of the side dishes. I'm not a big fan of Brunswick Stew, but my companion loved it.

The staff was wonderfully friendly and one of the owners came out and greeted us and talked briefly about his love of the business and how he was trying to do something authentic, but different from the same-old BBQ. The difference is how much attention to detail and quality they put into the food and service. It shows. A+++

Our new favorite barbecue - anywhere.

The rib appetizer was perfect - just the right blend of spicy and smokey, and the sliced and chopped pork are as good as I've had anywhere. Match it up with the 'cue slaw and baked beans, and you've got a winner! I've found my new favorite barbeque spot in Alpharetta.

EXCELLENT. As with most things great......'Cue sits in a rather non-descript strip mall out here the nether regions of suburbia....
I went there for lunch and found everything served to be right on. I had a chopped beef brisket platter, slaw, and beans. Beef was tasty; not dry with a nice smoky taste; 'THEIR' slaw was classic in all coleslaw qualities; including fresh and cold; and the beans again were a well done staple. Oh and the homemade thick slice T-toast was great. Went a little crazy and had the daily dessert special; peach cobbler and it did not disappoint. Crispy and tender; not overly sweet bringing the natural fruit taste along nicely.
All round an excellent restaurant.

Simply The Best.... Cue is a different kind of barbecue place. It is not your typical barbecue dive-joint. It is a barbecue restaurant. The difference is the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. You will not find a better place to eat barbecue in Atlanta, period. Trust me, I have eaten at almost all of them and this place is the "cream of the crop". Everything is homemade including the bread, rolls, and the garnish pickles. The barbecue itself is top notch. This place does not cut corners. They prepare your food the way they would if they were eating it. That makes all the difference in the world.
I have read reviews that 'Cue is "pricey". First, I would expect it to be slightly more expensive than other barbecue places, because it is not only better - it's all homemade. They are not using Kroger hamburger buns - they make their own. You won't find a better barbecue roll anywhere, period. Why wouldn't it cost more? You get what you pay for. I for one don't mind paying a few extra bucks for excellent food. Quality food is always my #1 priority, not shaving a few bucks. Quality food will always cost more because they are spending more money in ingredients and time in preparing it. I would rather pay $8 for an excellent barbecue sandwich than $5 to $6 for a mediocre one. What bothers me is to pay money for something that is just okay or worse than okay. The okay dining experience never has me craving for more; the excellent one always does. 'Cue, of course is the latter.
Since 'Cue opened up a few months ago I have been there too many times to count. I take my family there, and they love it. I take my co-workers and friends there and they love it. I try and turn on as many people to this place as I can, because I believe I am doing them a service. And, all of them keep coming back for more.
Again, mark my words, you won't find better barbecue in Atlanta than "Cue. You may be able to save a dollar or two by going to someplace else, but really what is your objective - great barbecue or average barbecue?
Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. I guarantee you it won't be your last. You will become a 'Cue addict...

The best in town for sure, not even close. Try the bananas doster.

Love it!. Instead of guarding it greedily with their forks (which would've been understandable), everyone in our party generously shared what they had ordered--so I got to try the pulled pork and pulled chicken, the pork sausage, slaw (regular and Pittsburgh-I preferred the regular but both tasty), mac n cheese and the tomato and cucumber salad. Everything was delicious! But surprisingly, in a sea of tasty bbq, what really wowed me was the bread-amazing slider rolls and white bread toast...and poor me trying to avoid carbs!
Very generous portions (so much food we took home a doggy bag and ate well again the next day).
I highly recommend this restaurant.
