Take 5 Deli

Five stars don't even come close to enough for the Take Five Deli. My usual is the turkey bacon melt and broccoli cheddar soup which honestly makes me smile every time I have it. I've never been disappointed though with any other choices from here. You're greeted with a smile and everyone is always cheerful and friendly. If you're a local, you already know how great it is. If you're just passing through, DEFINITELY stop in! You won't be disappointed!!

One of the best Ruben sandwiches I have had. Fast and courteous staff. Good place for a lunch and great soup of the day selections. Update: still go here regularly for lunch and still love the Ruben sandwich as much as the first time I had it. And the homemade soups are still delicious. This place always seemes to deliver!

If you are looking for a quick meal or a taste of Alpena this is the place to go. It's in the downtown area and offers a friendly local environment to eat. The service is excellent and the food is wonderful! This is not like a typical restaurant. You pay before you eat and the meals are not as elaborate, but they are small and friendly for a great lunch. I ordered the Take 5 Reuben and it came with a pickle and a bag of chips for example. The only reasons I rated them 4 stars is that their menu is very small and their scheduling is very inconvenient. The only way I could eat there was to take off a day of work. However, this is understandable due to their small size and the recent economic downturn. I would strongly recommend this experience to everyone.
