The Green House

The folks at Greenhouse really take pride in their food and craft. If you haven't been do yourself a favor and go. From the iced tea to the salad to the entree to the dessert everything was so good. The ratio of dressing and ingredients in the salad was perfect. It had a nice lite taste. Almost like nothing was competing and everything was working together. The eggplant parm. Lite and flavorful. The pasta. Delicious and plentiful. The pumpkin spice tiramisu. Very good. Even the ice tea was nice and pleasant. For a great food experience I would highly recommend Greenhouse Enoteca.

Unfortunately, we had a less than stellar experience here and we don't plan on going back. Last week, our family of four went. We got seated right away but took a while for anyone to come and greet us at our table. When our waiter finally arrived, he did apologize but then proceeded to write our order on his hand, which at first we found amusing. The rest of the experience just went downhill - the drinks were way too sweet, the service was not great ---he talked in a low voice, so we couldn't understand what he was saying and he only came back one other time to check on us. The food was decent but not as we had remembered from our prior visit about a year ago. Our main issue was that they added gratuity to our bill without our knowledge, so we ended up paying 2x the tip amount. Since we were only a party of 4, I wouldn't expect them to add gratuity..... 1) We should have been made aware of the automatic gratuity and 2) The waiter should have realized that we weren't aware when he saw that we added gratuity on top of the final bill. We did not realize it until after we were sent the emailed receipt. It all seemed very shady. I then tried emailing and leaving a voicemail at the restaurant, but those both unfortunately went unanswered. If they reach out to explain/resolve this issue, I will certainly update this review but for now, i do not recommend.

Food is immaculate. Drinks are colorful with flavor and flair. The drink encased in the glass is being smoked to bring out the aroma. This time I got the chicken sandwich and my friend got the parmesan chicken. Very clean eating. Everything is made from scratch. This a great place for a tourist visiting town and doesn't want bar food.

One of the best meals I've had in Allentown. All the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the drink selection is outstanding, the staff is friendly. The restaurant is not very big so make sure to utilize the yelp wait list, and parking is a little tight, but there is plenty of street parking available.
