Shi Hai

Unfortunately this restaurant is struggling now (as did the restaurants previously here). The food itself isn't bad: a decent variety of Cantonese style seafood, fresh fish and beef and pork dishes. The problem to me, is 1.) service here has never been very good, it is sort of disinterested and perfunctory. And, 2. The prices are high. Yes, seafood tends to be higher priced, but particularly here.

This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I I need a good supper, this place comes first to my head. very good and many types of food and a large menu.generous staff members, and pleasant ambience. Not less important, the tariff is modest. I tell about this spot with no hesitation.

They really need more parking space. That aside, the food was okay. We did our grandma's birthday here. We had the king crab. They cooked it in three different ways with different parts of the king crab. I thought that was awesome. However, the taste was just okay, nothing really special. The service was not bad. Lots of waiters walking around, busy even though the restaurant wasn't that packed. We had to get our own napkins from time to time. We had dim sum here as well. Dim sum was not bad. Most of their food don't taste that salty; However, we do get very thirsty afterwards. I think they used MSG, but not really sure. We did drinked lots of tea while eating, still got thirsty. On grandma's birthday, they did give us free birthday-buns fill with sweets. Their king crab was super expensive! Be sure to ask for the price before ordering it.

Their dim sum are delicious and are nicely presented. Orders are placed on paper menu: no dim sum cart cruising around the tables. Must try special dim sum items no other restaurants offer - (1) Chinese cabbage seafood wrap (stuffed with diced sea-cucumber and shrimp); (2) deep-fried chewy pumpkin balls stuffed with yummy running egg-yolk (cooked) or steamed bun with the the same stuffing.
