Eddie's Smokehouse & Seafood

The food here is delicious. We weren't sure because we walked in on a Saturday night and there are only two other people in the entire restaurant. However we took the chance and sat down to try it out. The food was fresh and tasty but the boudin balls came out cold. He waitress quickly remedied the problem and the chef brought a fresh portion out himself. Since we're all from out of town when each tried a different dish. I've attached pictures below.

Nothing crazy here but it does what it does pretty good. Service was very friendly, the staff made good menu suggestions and I found everything cooked well and seasoned just right. some southern restaurants get carried away with spices, and I would say this was just right. Some of the better catfish I've had in recent times too!

I've eaten at Steamboat Bills in Lake Charles several times but never the one here in Alexandria. Sunday I thought I would try it and believe me I have no complainants except for the Coleslaw. From the moment I walked in the Staff was very friendly. The inside of the Restaurant was very clean which was a plus. After my Server Shay spoke to me, she told me how to get a free Stuffed Shrimp Pistolette. When she came back to take my order she answered every question I asked very professionally. She was very nice friendly and helpful. I ordered the large Fish cause the other places I've eaten were small fillets. I should had listen to Shay when she said no Ma'am there not small. First of all the Stuffed Shrimp Pistolette was absolutely delicious. Then when Shay brought the Fish out, my first thought was Lord where do I begin. The Fish was just like I like it fresh and hot. The Coleslaw was really good, but I wished there would had been more of it and less French Fries. But over all my experience was good and I will be back. Almost forgot I appreciate that the Manager came and checked to see if everything was ok.
