Debarge's Crawfish

They cook to order and the food is worth the wait. This is always one of the first places I go when in Alexandria Louisiana. There is no place to eat on site but still great crawfish, shrimp and CRACKLINGS! Last time I was there I was eating out of the back of my car and the staff even came to the door to make sure I was alright.

Back in the day this place used to be GREAT! Now…. Not so much. The crawfish I bought tonight were soggy and watery (not juicy) mushy and watery, and had a propane/chemical taste. This has happened several times but I went again because I like the convience of the drive thru. I also purchased cracklings… oh my goodness they were so dry and old and burnt I had to throw them away. There’s a little blue trailer idk their name but it’s off Jackson next to BJs Pizza they are SO much better. $30 down the drain…. Sorry DeBarges I can’t keep coming there and wasting money. 😩😩😩

AWFUL! For one we had to wait when we shouldn't have. We came in and placed the order but we had to leave to go to the ATM to get cash because we were splitting the payment we asked them to have it ready for when we got back but yet the girl conveniently forgot to put the order in we had to wait 15 more more minutes...the food was TERRIBLE and bland. Crawfish are supposed to be spicy n full of flavor for one they were dry no juice in the heads AT ALL n the 4 or 5 small ones that did have a little juice there was NO FLAVOR the shrimp were overcooked n tough....just NASTY all together....DEBARGES YOU LOST ME IM GOING TO SAMMIES THEY HAVE THE BEST CRAWFISH N TOWN WITH GOOD PRICES TOO....ILL GET WHAT I PAID FOR AT SAMMIES BUT NEVER DEBARGES AGAIN!

On Saturday Feb 19th I bought 4lbs special and additional lb plus 3 additional pounds. I received the two bags of crawfish and came home. When I got home to eat the crawfish the crawfish taste like they have been re dipped them in water. They were smushes, soft and watery season. My total was almost 80 dollars. I called the manager Cheyenne and she just apologized. She said no one else complained. She said I’m sorry it wasn’t the taste of your liking. Hell I know what crawfish supposed looks and taste like. I threw them away and went to Swamp Daddy’s where they are fresh and you can see what they are doing And you can see what they are weighing. They have the curtains up and you don’t know what you are getting. At least she could have refunded half of my money or gave me some more fresh ones. The corn looks brown compared to Swamp Daddy’s corn that looks golden yellow. Be careful of who you hired. Integrity is everything.
