On our first visit, we bought some of the bread rolls, a doughnut, two muffins, a ham and cheese croissant, and a butter croissant. Everything we bought was flavorful. The highlight for me was the croissant because it was exceptionally flaky. Layers and layers! Better than most of the big, fancy bakeries I've been to in the DC area. The blueberry muffin was also great. Not cloyingly sweet so we could still taste the blueberries and whatever the delightful base flavor in their muffins is (vanilla but something else too?). The bread rolls were very soft and with great texture from kneading. My son said the doughnut was amazing!
Don't expect a fancy setup. It's a simple shop, with not an overwhelming number of options. However, what they do sell, is definitely an outcome of very good pastry skills. I wish they sold other types of bread too, aside from the rolls.
We'll be back!

Far and away the best coffee in town. The baked goods are amazing and the couple who run it make everyone feel like family. I recommend a giant cinnamon roll and a big cup of their signature coffee to make you day wonderful!

So much better than dunkin' donuts! Totally worth the drive and love supporting local. The apple fritter is ginormous and is less than $2. They have fresh bread and I'm sure that the cakes they make here are amazing too.

Homemade glazed doughnuts are very good. Coffee roll too. $1.15 glazed. Bread is tasty. Old lady up front is rude, unprofessional, so be prepared. UPDATE: $1.75 Glazed.

Poor service and donuts were stale. Only two stars because there bread or pastries MIGHT be good.. Doubtful.

If you like apple fritters, these are one of the best in the area. They’re crispy, enormous, packed with apple and surprisingly cheap. The rest of their donuts above average, but damn their fritters are tough to beat.

Small family owned business with BIG tasty treats. They make bread daily which sells out.

I have been going here for years, that i am almost offended that someone gave them "two stars". If you have not actually tried their pastries, have you really tried this place?
I even bought all their danishes for a holiday work party last year. My coworkers loved them!
I feel like the happiest kid when I stop by here in the mornings (I'm a full grown btw). I love all the pastries, donuts, and cookies! And everything gets put out fresh in the morning.
Definitely worth a try if you have not been, And they are really sweet people 😊
