Pilar's Restaurant - Alexandria - Photo album

They were very friendly even though we arrived half an hour until closing. The food was very good - not the best ever but very good. They bring you chips and salsa for free. We were the only ones eating but there were other people playing pool in the back with love songs playing - a very casual hang
I've only been here once and it was late at night. Seems to be a family owned business. The prices are very reasonable and the food was decent. I had the beef tacos and a tamales when I visited. The food didn't take too long to come out of the kitchen either. The restaurant has a very authentic feel
Literally tastes like grandmas food! Glad I found this gem that's literally 5 mins up the street. So far, tried Mariscos paella, shrimp quesadilla, pupusas, and tamales. All tasted delicious, will be coming back! Only con is that the food takes a while.
The food was absolutely incredible and I would recommend it to anyone. The beef they use is like incredibly tender steak, the avocado slices were so soft you could almost spread them like butter. The beef burrito was HUGE and put together perfectly. I couldn’t finish at the restaurant and it was jus
They serve food honest Central America food here, comparable to what I have had traveling through place like Honduras and El Salvador. The pupusas are delicious and fresh AND inexpensive. What more do you need to know?
They were very friendly The Soup was good The chicken was good too but didn't look like what I was expecting I thought it was gonna be rotisserie chicken but it looked like something out of a microwaveable dinner! The restaurant could use a make over big time!! There is parking available and plenty
Service was great. I've been three or four times in the last few weeks because I've been craving Pupusas and the same server seems to be working. This place is not what it use to be, so I go to eat and leave.
Definitely a locals hang out. Casual dining. Not an expert in type of cuisine but appears to be authentic Central and South American dishes. Tasty dishes overall with good variety of choices. Staff could be a bit more attentive. Juke box with Latin music will typically accompany your meal.
