Fairlington Pizza Carry Out

Ordered a large cheese pizza to go. It was ready pretty quick and it came out very hot. Staff was friendly when we picked it up. Pizza tasted really bland. There was a lot of cheese but it didn’t have any flavor. Had high hopes after reading the reviews but overall pretty flavorless pizza and definitely not a New York style pizza.

Nice staff. It's convenient as well, if you live in Fairlington. I ordered pizza and wings. I arrived to pick up and they were punctual. My issues were 1) I could see the people making the food. No one had on a mask, and they were all touching the food with their bare fingers. Even McDonald's employees wear gloves and masks now. 2) The pizza was just so-so. 3) The wings were completely overcooked and dried out. I won't be back. I just feel with the covid variants, it's not safe. And touching food with bare hands is a no-no to me. And if you're cooking or moving food around and you're not wearing gloves, that's a do-not-return red flag for me. On the other hand, the restaurant interior was really cool and funky. I'd love to sit outside one afternoon in the spring and summer and sip a coke or something.

This pizza is DELICIOUS. Not only that, the owner Nick is incredibly generous. We just moved in nearby, and he gave us a housewarming gift with our pizza - dessert, wine, paper plates, cups. He even ran into the parking lot to give us a loaf of bread. We were blown away. He said it’s just the Italian way… We’ve found our new pizza joint forever more!!

My girlfriend and I ordered a large pizza and salad for pick up. When talking to Nick, the man ringing us up, we asked for plates and cups. We casually mentioned that we were new to the area and just bought a house; the pizza was going to be our first meal in the home. Nick promptly and without hesitation gave us enough plates, utensils, and cups to host 10 backyard BBQs. He gave us a free bottle of wine, free beer, and even chased us down as we were leaving to gift us a HUGE free loaf of bread. I have never seen such generosity from a business owner, especially during trying times such as these. I was dumbfounded to say the least. We even got a free small pizza! Nick, you made a loyal customer for life. The food was also fantastic, that real old school pizza parlor taste you crave from a local spot. Thank you again Nick; you’re a legend.

I see why people like this pizza. The crust is truly an authentic, dense, chewy, highly “landscaped” New York style crust. For the price-point, the toppings are fresh, well made and generous. Delivery was prompt (35 min in my case), and the driver arrived apologizing for some kind of inconvenience which never occurred. They also followed my instructions for added crushed red peppers. Be aware though that menu prices do go up for delivery, and the admonishment on the web app said that “100% of that up charge goes to the company”. I know you’re in a competitive segment Fairington. Do a solid for your drivers too. Cut them in. Very satisfied though. Saved to favorites when I’m in D.C.
