Pork Barrel Bbq

Decided to stop here to watch the Winter Olympics at the bar. The food was delicious and the service was good too. Nice size portions and reasonable prices. The pulled pork was piled high on the bun. I was pleasantly surprised by how tender and flavorful the collard greens were. Will definitely come back again.

This past weekend I used Pork Barrel BBQ catering for a party I was hosting. THEY WERE FABULOUS. First off, I was a very nervous party planner and I called a couple times to talk through my order and each phone call really put me at ease. The first time I called, I was able to place my order and they helped me figure out how much food I'd need and made helpful recommendations. The second phone call, I was able to add on more food when more guests confirmed and it was so simple because they're very organized! I even paid over the phone so friends could pick the food up for me and they raved about how helpful and kind all the employees were in person. NOW, THE FOOD. SPECTACULAR. Everything came perfectly packaged in reusable containers, which made clean up a breeze. The amount of food ordered ended up being just right - leaving us with some very coveted leftovers and leaving all our attendees with fully, happy bellies! ALL of the guests asked where the food was from because it was so delicious and they loved it. Honestly, this was such a great experience (I'm typing this over potato salad and brisket leftovers for breakfast..). Next time we host a large gathering, I will most certainly be ordering from Pork Barrel again. Thank ya'll SO MUCH!!! 10/10!

Ordered a 3 meat platter for dinner via Toast app. Food was ready super fast. Picked up from their pickup window--a nice addition! With tax, tip, etc. paid $25. There were no utensils, napkins, wet wipes, or BBQ sauce included 🤔. Burnt ends and chopped pork were great. Sausage was mushy and tasteless. Cornbread tasted good, texture was crumbly. Greens were sweet and vinegary but the ratio was off. Didn't care for the grits--fake smoky taste like Liquid Smoke... Not many good BBQ spots in ALX, so they get over.

In from out of town, and tried this place on a personal recommendation, and OMG, it's amazing! Had the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, and bread pudding, and everything was out of this world! I was with a large group, and every person said the same thing. Staff was super friendly and the food was out in no time. I really can't say enough good things about our experience!

Pork Barrel is a Del Ray staple, and just a great place for kids and adults alike--friendly staff, plenty of room in the dining area and the bar area, and my kids love the retro video games! Order the nachos, you won’t regret it! Pork Barrel is also our go-to for catering services. We catered Pork Barrel BBQ for an end-of-season little league party recently and they couldn’t have been easier to work with. On a side note, I once left my credit card at Pork Barrel by accident and they made sure it was returned to me--which was much appreciated!
