Ate here a couple of times and every time the food has been great. I've had their curry sauce, chips, fish, chip butty, and battered sausage. This is probably the closest I've tasted to a traditional British chippy; however, it's still not perfect :)
The most authentic items in the restaurant have to be their battered sausage and the curry sauce --both being excellent! The fish and chips are very good, but just not quite that of the British kind.
I would certainly recommend this place --they even sell a variety of British chocolates and items, too.

THE BEST Fish & Chips I've ever had! ( And I've had amazing Fish & Chips in Dublin, Ireland )
Fish was super crispy, hot and tasty with and without the dipping sauces! I had the 3 oz Cod. ( They also offer bigger portions of fish and fish sandwiches ) Chips/fries were huge, hot and tasty as well. I highly recommended this amazing spot to any food fan hanging out in Old Time Alexandria!

Fuss-free dining and easy to order.
Menu outside on display at the glass was not similar to the one at the counter so ordering was a bit confusing.
Fish and chips was a comfort meal but fish was dry.

Fish was tender and flaky. Good portions. If you're Craving fish and chips definitely check it out.

LOVE THEIR FISH. I only gave 4 stars cause cause the guy /server was very very annoying. He wanted to talk. We wanted to eat our fish! He annoyed the people at another table too. I heard them talking about it.

Great fish & chips (English/Irish style) in old town. Better yet, they've got Guinness on tap. There are only a couple tables, though, and it's a bit pricey. Still, fantastic fish & chips, cooked to order. I recommend it if that's what you're looking for.

Extremely overpriced. Who orders fish and chips and expects to receive 1 small piece of fish? And it's still $7! With no fries! I'm not trying to be cheap here. It's actually reddiculous.
But it tastes amazing. So there is that.
I guess if you can afford to get lit at the speakeasy upstairs, you can afford the $25 it would take to be satisfied at this restaurant.

As advertised, the best fish and chips I've had! Thick but crispy batter and juicy fish with thick cut fries cooked to perfection. I wanted to try the fried candy bars but they were out of snickers so I opted for the fried banana- yum!! Topped with a cinnamon sugar mix, a def must-try!! Although some reviewers had a different experience, nothing was soggy about my order. However, I did notice a sign on my way out that reminded customers to keep the bag open so you don't end up with a super soggy order... Thanks Eamonn's!!
