If you have time to sit back and relax for a while, this is a great place! The wait staff is friendly and attentive to details, the food is delicious, the atmosphere cozy and welcoming. It does take a bit of time to get your order in and for food to be served, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend!
I absolutely love Luca, great local neighborhood restaurant, family friendly, super fun for dinner with friends and perfect for a drink at the bar or the patio.
We have so many favorites on the Menu, my little girls love the Spaghetti and Meatballs, and of course the Pizza! My to go favorites are the Eggplant Parmesan and the Italian Burger with Fries.

Our first and most frequently visited restaurant in town. Food is consistently delicious, great range of wine by the glass and local beers on draught. Specials menu usually contains some gems and we've always found the services to be friendly and attentive.
They've done a wonderful job of decorating to the point where, once you're inside it isn't recognizable as a retail unit in a strip mall whatsoever. Highly recommended!

Undscovered Treasure. We had probably driven by this restaurant 500 times before we decided to stop and give it a try, and I'm glad we did. We happened to arrive during happy hour and we made a meal out of wine and appetizers. We sampled the fried ravioli, the Italian burger and the spiedini - a decadent indulgence of fontina cheese wrapped in prosciutto with homemade marinara for dipping. OMG! Delizioso! The burger was juicy and amazingly flavorful and it features the same meat used in the meatballs. I got the impression that the entire menu is made from scratch.
The atmosphere is cozy and the walls are adorned with classic Italian movie posters. The service was slow since one of the servers failed to show up for her shift, but our waitress made up for our wait by being extra-attentive. During Happy Hour, many of the wines and the appetizers are only $5 each and the entire meal cost us less than $30. I can't wait to return for a full meal - I only wish we had stopped here sooner!

Pizzeria Luca where Bogart meets Italian Cuisiane. Pizzeria Luca is not just any beer and wine pizza joint. When you step inside the cute Italian eatery you automatically notice the vast wine selection up at the bar along with the décor. You definitely are walking into a Humphrey Bogart movie almost like you are in Casa Blanca. But that's the feel the owner and operator(Mr. Richard Aldighieri) of Luca wanted. The menu, I must add is not just limited to pizza! It has everything from 6 different salads to Salmon on their entrée list. My personal favorite is the caprice salad with chicken. The balsamic dressing is delicious! EVERYTHING on the menu is imported from Italy and the dressings are homemade. The tomato bisque soup is also a personal favorite! So if you are in the mood for something different and not just your run of the mill pizza place... Pizzeria Luca is worth taking the entire family too! Its got the touch of class the other Italian places are lacking and the prices wont break your budget! Try it for yourself and see!

Jersey Italian. We just moved back to Albuquerque, and were so lucky to move near Pizzeria Luca. This is the best Italian food in ABQ, with such a comfortable atmosphere. I have had Veal, Pasta & Calzones and have been happy with them all!
Lovely Luca. I am very impressed with this hidden gem. I am not one to write reviews, good or bad usually; but I was compelled after having such a lovely experience there the other night with co workers. My first thought was how beautiful the location was! The bar was a lovely granite with wine bottle displayed behind it on a ceiling high wood case. Two nice tv's on either side playing sports. I came with a mix of men and women so the guys were entertained while the girls gabbed about all kinds of things. We decided as a group to order several things and share. toasted ravioli ( which we ended up loving enough to order a second ), a caprese salad, personal pepperoni pizza, and a beef carpaccio for our appetizers. Yum! All of us stopped talking and every plate was cleared! For dinner we all shared an eggplant parmesan, the Luca signature special, and the meat lasagna. We were all so impressed we plan on returning for our work get togethers in the future! Bravo Luca, we're impressed!

Favorite Personal Pizza. My favorite menu item at Luca's is a personal pizza with prociutto, carmelized onions, carmelized mushrooms and arugula....absolutely delicious. Great selection of red wines also!

HORRIBLE SERVICE - GREAT FOOD. After hearing rave reviews, we went there last night and were seated promptly. A server brought us water right away and said he would return with the wine list. He never returned to our table. After 25 minutes, and empty water glasses, we finally managed to catch the attention of the host, who snapped, "I'll be right with you." He, too, never returned. (Having each been servers before, my husand and I are very patient. We know how things can go wrong and the ripples caused.) Our server finally arrived ... with an attitude! We asked for a wine list and it took her about 10 minutes. We ordered the wine and our food then waited another 10 minutes for the 2 pieces of stale bread and 4 olives to munch on. It didn't take long to get our food and it was absolutely amazing! Hand-tossed pizza with goat cheese (not too pungent), carmelized onions (done to perfection), and arugula (cooked beforehand and put on the pizza after it was done - not burnt!). It really was an excellent pizza. The olives are marinated there and they are some of the best we've had - either size of the Atlantic. We bought a pound for home. Our server never came back until it was time to give us the check. Not sure we'll be back. We to go T or C fairly often and there are other great restaurants there with friendly people.

This place is great. The owner came over and introduced himself...have eaten there three times...zero complaints. Do yourself a favor, give this pizzeria a try.
We stopped at Luca on a Saturday afternoon where we drank some brew and shared a margherita pizza on the patio. We both enjoyed the pizza, which was big enough to share but not so big that we couldn't finish it off. It was cheesy and not overly saucy. Service was good. We'd go back.
Night out with friends. We (four of us) had a great meal at Luca and the service was more than acceptable. All four of us had something different and each of us enjoyed our meals. We also commented on and decided we liked the decor and atmosphere - great place to go with friends, date night, kids night, just about any occasion you can think of.
Great East Coast. I moved to Albuquerque from the East Coast about a year ago, and the first thing that I was struck by was lacking selection of Italian restaurants (sure, there are plenty of Mexican/New Mexican restaurants, but that not the food I crave!) I came to Pizzeria Luca with a couple of my friends when they came out to visit me, and we were all blown away. My brother and boyfriend both had sandwiches, and were very pleased, and they even worked with my friend on getting a pizza to fit her dietary needs. For dessert we had some of their cheesecakes, and found out that they are actually made in house. Over all everything tasted really fresh, it was great! I will definitely be bringing anyone to visit from back home to Luca :)
I think this place is Awesome!!! We have always had great food and drinks here!!!!!!! Not sure what the "doesn't like it people" are thinking, really??? This is the best pizza in town and the Caprese Salad is to die for!!!!!! Great owner, staff and chef! Great neighborhood wine bar. It's first class all the way! Pizzeria Luca is Wonderful. We live in the far NE heights and finding great GF food is difficult if not impossible. Luca is the best we have found! The pasta is very good and their GF pizzas are amazing. And for the rest of our family, the food is tangy and reasonable.

Luca....a taste of Italy in ABQ!. I love walking into a restaurant and being welcomed at the door. I was looking for a warm, inviting dining experience and I found it in Luca. They have a very nice selection of fine wines and beer. My daughter had the pizza slice with her favorite pepperoni and sausage (she absolutely loves it)….come to find out the flour they use for their pizza is from Napoli and their pepperoni shipped from Italy as well. But hands down one of my favorite menu items is the Carpaccio it’s fabulous (thin sliced filet mignon with a lemon truffle oil dressed arugula salad…my mouth waters just thinking about it). I’ve also had their tasty mushroom appetizer with sautéed mushrooms in a lemon caper sauce and their littleneck clams in a rich Italian plum tomato sauce. The pizza is delicioso…I prefer to order the whole wheat dough. Save room for the canoli (magnifico). Luca is locally owned, which is great - I love to support the locals, location works for me (just right off Paseo and Ventura); the food is busting with flavor and the presentation exceptional. You gotta try this place….as you can tell I’m a repeat customer!!
Like Being In Roma. I am Italian, in fact, I am both a U.S. Citizen and an Italian Citizen. Luca's only uses fresh ingriedients like you would find in Roma. You can sit at the bar, (like I am now) enjoy a healthy and delicious side salad, with real Blue Cheese and then get a personal P Pie that tastes like a real P Pie should. It is a long drive from downtown but worth the drive, never a wait and great smells from the kitchen...the wine list is awesome and their food is always served just right.....If you cannot go to Italy then come to Luca's Wine Bar
PS...Their Sunday selection of wines 1/2 OFF includes names that you would recognize in New Mexico and Italy
Things can change.... I've read most of the reviews here and have noticed non of them are super recent. All I can say is Luca must have made some drastic changes as of late. My wife and I were there Saturday evening and very much enjoyed the beer, Carpaccio, and Greek Salad we had. Nothing seemed over priced as before mentioned. $8.95 for a very good Carpaccio and Arugula Salad seems reasonable. Also, the service is very good, although I did wonder why there were so many employees. It seems two servers, a bartender, and a hostess would suffice.
The ONLY downside I can see is the fact they close much too early. However, that probably has something to do with all the bad mouthing they've received on this site. To those naysayers, I say, "Give Luca another chance. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!"

I love this place....having lived in italy for 4 years it is the closest to authentic italian pizza that i have found in abq....the wine is excellent and the service is unsurpassed...i can't say enough about luca....it is a must try!!!!!!
Yummy!. I have recently tried Pizzeria Luca and Wine bar, and have been craving it ever since! The service was excelent, and the food tasted like i was sitting at a resteraunt in Italy. I first ordered a greek salad, and it was a nice size that could be used as a full meal, i than got the Modena Pizza and it was fantastic! I have to say, i will be returning to Pizzeria Luca with an empty stomach, and a big smile!:)

It is such a great place to go sit at the bar, get a great glass of wine, and eat a good meal. The staff is friendly, service is outstanding, and the food is excellent. As both a mom and a fan of girl's night out, I have been able to enjoy myself in both roles at Pizzeria Luca.
My favorite menu item, Carpaccio, is from their specials menu. The flavors are amazing and good for us carb-conscious folks out there. But I have been tempted by their house pizza, "Luca", which has 2 slices of each of their 4 most popular pizzas all at the same time. Great for your first visit.

This is the cutest little romantic getaway I have ever seen. The little patio had really fun jazzy music playing with overhead patio Lights trying up just really cute and clever with pod plants all along the front separating the patio from the drive parking lot inside, there's a beautiful bar with public seating in the back for people who want to enjoy unique customer pizzas here I. Highly recommend this as a place to stop if you're ever in Albuquerque.
First time dining here. Service was great, thanks April. The food was great. Enjoyed salad, several appetizers, and main dishes. Party of four, so tried many things. Including dessert. The only thing that was a surprise, the lava cake was frozen....but the cannoli was outstanding.
When getting there, take note that there is construction and it’ll have you drive through the parking lot. So just be careful, because it’s a little easy to miss if it’s the first time. The service was great, and Marco was always there to refill drinks or ask if we wanted anything g else. The pizza was not greasy as others had commented, but rather crisp from the oven which was nice. The spaghetti was awesome with the in-house sauce they used, and the garlic bread really helped win us over. The chocolate cake for desert is to die for, and we would come back here again in a heartbeat!
The atmosphere here is pretty great. If you want a nice casual dining experience after work, I'd recommend stopping by and finding yourself a seat at the bar or one of the tables. The smallish size of the dining area really adds to the charm of this location - in my opinion.
Takeaway has been good and since I live across the street, things are always fresh when I get home. If you live a bit further, you can order one of their take-and-bake style pizzas.
As for menu recommendations, I'd suggest the Greek Salad and any of their pizzas. I've tried the white sauce pizza and the simple margherita and both were delicious. The pizzas are made in a more traditional style, so don't expect the load of toppings you might get at some of the more common chain places, but what is there is quality. I'll be going back again and again to try different things.

Food was good. My sons Pizza just great, there was not enough salt on my Spaghettis with mussels. But: the first time I saw restaurant employees cleaning windows! The cleanest windows on our two month trip through the southeast of US! Overall a very nice experience in a unique restaurant.
Place is a must if you want truly authentic Italian cuisine!!! Pizza was amazing, super thin and crispy crust and any toppings you could want to add! Chicken Parm and spaghetti was delicious and the garlic toast that came with.......WOW!! Place is lively and fun,busy but didn't wait for a table and our server was very attentive! It had been a long time since we visited and I regret every day we missed out on. Definitely coming back for lunch to try one of their sandwiches, they all sound irresistible!! The only downside was that we were too full to try one of the desserts,bummer. Overall it was just a great experience and I always love supporting local businesses. So glad you're going strong,keep it up!!!

This is a small hole in the wall that is another hidden gem in Albuquerque.
This was our second time coming here. Our first just happened to be during their lunch specials. (This is the secret to eat eating here on the cheap!!!) Covid came, and we never really went back. I drove by the other day and remembered how good this place was.
The food was excellent. We ordered the pizza, which was surprisingly some of the better pizza in the state! The italian sausage was chunky and the pepperonis oily. Thinner crust and not to crunchy. Also ordered the Chile Chicken Alfredo Lasagna served with steamed seasonal vegetables. This was an interesting dish but it was so good and just worked! It was definitely a cross between a green chili chicen enchilada made with lasagna noodles and ricotta cheese. I wish it had about triple the amount of the chili but still excellent the way the served it. I also wish it was spicy, but i get it, you have to be able to seve it to everyone!
Also have a full bar, i dont drink much but it looks like a wine menu too!

Maskes are required at this time. Ate outside on patio, was clean amd free of debris. It was jusy a bit chilly they had outside heaters for customers.
Ordered antipasto to start, derving size was generous. Pizza came out hot and delicious.
Service here was excellent, our server Matt was polite and presentable. He knew when to touch back with us and made sure or food was to our liking.

5 stars because of the sweet waitress Michelle who was working the bar and the tables at the window. My boyfriend and I came here together for the first time. He ordered a calzone and I ordered a seared ahi tuna salad. It was very flavorful. I wasn’t in the mood for heavy carbs on this day but someday I’ll be back to try the pizza or something new. My bf ordered cheesecake that looked amazing! Again, I was way too full to try it but maybe next time.
It's gone down hill in the last 4 years. Still a nice middle of the road place to go get a drink and some ok food. Service is always good.
Wonderful experience great staff with amazing food. I 100% recommend trying it out. We had chicken Parmesan and and spaghetti spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. With a pizza marano I believe. Everything was amazing I one hundred percent recommend coming to this place give it a try.
