The atmosphere is great and the food is pretty good as well. You get pretty large serving sizes. There are only a few reasons why I didn't give it the full 5 stars. First, this is a pretty popular restaurant, so there needs to be more seating to a comidate for the number of customers coming through. There were people having to sit outside in 30 degree temperature because there was nowhere to sit inside. They should at least do a wait list instead of taking everyone's orders, making them think there is a table available when there isn't. 2nd , it's really good food, but it's extremely expensive. I can't see myself paying $100 for lunch, and that's how much I spent. $100 is a weeks worth of groceries. So I'll be spending that money to meal prep and save this place for a once in a blue moon treat.

I have been going to this location since I moved into the area and have nothing bad to say about it. Sometimes the lines can be a bit long and it's not my "go to" place for a quick snack and cup of coffee anymore (because of the lines), but overall - Flying Star Cafe is a fantastic place for a bite to eat and cuppa joe. If you haven't made time to try the deserts, do so. Please note: My reviews get updated based on experience 🙂

Have come here for years. Consistency is their name. Their food is good. The costs are a bit too high for my preference for frequent visits. Service is ALWAYS great - friendly and attentive staff in all corners of the store.

This was the cutest quaintest cafe ever. I got the watermelon cider and the chicken cous cous risotto. It was the perfect size for dinner and super flavorful. Everyone was so nice and helpful and the atmosphere was full of people eating, working, socializing and even studying. Great for a quick bite. I wish I could’ve tried more food.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch at 2 pm and it was still busy but we were able to order and sit and received our food very quickly. My wife had the Buddha bowl and I had the Avo Toast (avocado toast) and we really enjoyed both dishes! We haven’t been here in a while and kinda regret it. Highly recommended!!

This has been one of our favorites since we lived here years ago. The service is always immaculate. The food is always out of this world thus the words Flying Star. From the bakery treats being made with butter to the free range eggs and the fresh fruits and super delicious coffee this place is your number one choice for breakfast, as well as lunch and a nice early dinner. Don't miss out on eating it the best place in all of Albuquerque! And if you're going to have a birthday or any type of Celebration where you need a cake, look no further this place knows how to make cake without all that toxic hydrogenated oil that everybody else is so reliant on using. Go with the best go with Flying Star!

Loved flying star, the patio was great, the food was even better and the service was good. I have no complaints. I used to go to the one in Santa Fe all the time till it closed. Then found the other one for this review. O think the food is better than the Santa Fe one in my opinion.

Other than the prices, places pretty standard. I went there when it first opened and went there again, been over a decade, food's good, service is fast and friendly. Lots of space, great atmosphere, seriously, it's not going to knock your socks off, but at the same time it's going to be a pretty pretty solid standard.

Came in for late dinner and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. At first glance the prices seemed a little high.....but that thought quickly vanishes when you receive your food. All the dishes were fantastic and the portions were on point. The presentation and savoryness was spectacular!!! Love this place and will definitely be back....especially for those cauliflower wings...OMG!!!!

Such a quaint little Cafe! We chose this place because we were out with our 3 puppies, and the outdoor area was so nicely kept. A little on the pricey side, but the food is soooo worth it! The staff saw our pups and even ce put with some treats when they brought our food out! One of the best huevos rancheros and salad I've ever had!
