wow!! Got the three meat plate to try a few different things. Very delicious. The spot had a family vibe and good energy. Great prices too for a meal w heart :) Heads up, no inside dining, but they do have a small seating area outside. Lovely gem in ABQ

Sad to see this location go. No more Powdrell's for lunch. 😔 Though it's been a while since that was the regular thing. Pandemic messed up dynamics. Then once they went outdoor seating, that limited lunch to good weather or takeaway. Still tried to go when it was in season. I never been to the other location. I'll have to see if I can find myself over there one day soon. Just a bit off my beaten paths.

I got 2 kids brisket sandwiches, 1 with fries and the other w mac+cheese. I also got catfish strips w spicy fries. Enough catfish strips for two meals. I will go back again .Everything was very good and quantities were enough for 2.

Had a large order coming in, and here's what I rank them at. The collard green is really good, nice, flavorful, and I can drink the broth that's cooked in. Hot links are fine. Eat that over rice, and I'm happy. Barbecue burrito needs red 🌶 sauce for you enjoy. The potato salad was meh to blended for my taste since I'm a texture person all kind of one note to ME. Next, the cole slaw was sweet slightly, and that's fine by me. Fried okra was cooked perfectly. That's all I ordered. Was upset that there was no seating inside. Didn't ask why other than that had an enjoyable eat experience.

This is the BEST barbecue joint in ABQ. Skip Rudy’s…let me be more clear, do NOT even CONSIDER Rudy’s, as Mr. Powdrell’s blows them out of the water. If you are familiar with good, properly cooked barbecue and smoked meats, you will be happy here. The food is beyond delicious, and always leaves me stuffed. The staff is great and the place is very cool, too. Pick this place! and again, absolutely not Rudy’s! Mr. Powdrell’s rocks!

Ordered a small sandwich and could only eat 1/2, it was huge. The pork bbq was very tasty. We enjoyed our lunch yesterday by the UNM duck pond!

My mother went to Albuquerque for business and brought me back a little piece of heaven. These are are the best ribs I've ever had! I love the cornbread (it's unique, they make it like pancakes) I also ordered hot link sausages and they're spicy and perfect. I don't know what they put in their barbecue sauce but it's addicting!!! I highly recommend.

Amazing BBQ, fried okra and fried mushrooms! The macaroni was on point and the corn bread was fried like pancake giving it a different but awesome taste. I will be back!

Search my reviews herein for the dive in Dallas, Texas. Powdrells is the antithesis of "that" place. Examine the pictures (more to follow). First, at approximately 4:50pm Powdrells had beef ribs. No excuses were necessary. Second, I only had to fly an hour and a half further west to garner black eye peas and those huge beef ribs I was yearning for. All is right now. The ribs were juicy, and the Flintstones Bam-Bam Brontasaurus sized ribs were tasty and flavorful. No beer to be had. But the beef ribs satisfied my yen. Concerning the peas, a tad bit salty and a touch more black pepper could be used. Other than that perfect! In lieu of beer I had a Coke from a machine. The syrup to soda water ratio was perfect. This is the first time I have experienced this. It's either too sweet or too soda-ish. I will add more photos at such time I cull from the DSLR.
