Everything was great until dessert...the carrot cake came in a parfait glass and looked great ...but did not taste good...not fresh and very refrigerated.... cut up with fresh cream...sub par.....I would not serve this dessert at my house.

I've dined here three times. I used to go to Mitch's place in Glen Head & he's a good chef but the noise level is unbearable & it's not worth the $. There are other restaurants in the area with much better value. I'd rather go around the corner to Willy Parker's where the Chef has a far more extensive resume than Mitch even though it is a pub. Read their times review (Boulet/JeanGeorge). No comparison in food & better value also. Or Bar Frites!

prix fixe menu is a welcome respite to other similarly priced restaurants. can be pricey otherwise. very good food although the room can be somewhat noisy at times. early dinner a good option if one is flexible. it's also a nice addition to the neighborhood in terms of restaurant choices. lunch menu very attractive in terms of items and price.
