Lavender Bakery & Cafe

I came here on a Sunday Evening and there was still a good selection of cakes & pastries. I picked up a beautiful chocolate cake for a last minute event. It was beautifully made and reasonably priced! I'm a regular here but this is my first time ordering a cake. It exceeded my expectations. Lavender Bakery never disappoints.

I had two custom made cakes from here recently. They were just beautiful. Customer service was superb. Mr. Ali the owner, accommodated our custom design superbly. Staff were professional and friendly. Had a minor mistake on one of the cake, but they fixed it quick and Mr. Ali himself delivered the cake to our place. The cakes turned out so beautiful and delicious. Definitely 100% recommended.

This bakery is the real deal. Not only are the baked goods delicious (my favorite is the almond croissant), but they are also incredibly friendly. The establishment is the cleanest I’ve seen. I know the owners are very big on being clean and sanitary. I love coming here for my morning cup of coffee and mid morning sweets. If you wanna support a quality small business, head to lavender. You won’t be disappointed.

Scrumptious. We heard about this place from a friend and decided to try it before starting our Whole30. They have a huge variety of daily pastries, cookies and other baked goods. We had to stop ourselves from ordering everything in the store, and we saw that many other people had this problem as well. The counter person did not blink an eye as we kept adding items we couldn't resist. Everything was delicious: expertly made, excellent ingredients, perfect taste. This is the best baked good splurge place ever.

It takes a lot for me to dislike a cupcake but this place managed it tonight. The cupcakes themselves were dry and crumbling. The icing on the red velvet tasted sour, reminiscent of rotten milk. The chocolate icing on the chocolate cupcake was flavorless and had the consistency of squeeze-tube gel frosting. I threw out the third (vanilla/white cake) cupcake without trying it because the first two were so wretched. The chocolate hazelnut mousse was edible—which puts it a notch above the cupcakes, I guess, but if you’re in the mood for sweets, even Safeway offers (partially-hydrogenated, mass-produced) cupcakes and cakes that taste better.
