Review Corelife Eatery - Albany

Google stated that the restaurant closed at 8:00pm. I arrived before 7:30 and the staff was visibly annoyed that customers were walking in and that they had to stop breaking down for the night. The woman behind the counter made zero effort to approach me or talk to me when I approached the counter. When she finally did she was rude and acted as if we were bothersome. I started my order with Korean BBQ Bowl. I was offered a fried egg, but then told the grill had been shut down for the night. I then ordered the Brussels Bowl with chicken added. I was then told that the black beans were already put away for the night. I asked for chick peas instead. She then proceeded to take zero care in making our food. Showing her displeasure by just slamming ingredients into the bowl. At this point I really just wanted to walk out, but I was hungry, so I stayed the course. My mistake. Upon getting home and looking at the food I basically lost my appetite. Incredibly, everything seemed greasy. The pulled pork looked like it came out of a can, and she forgot to add my chicken. We will not be returning. The unfortunate thing is that CoreLife used to be really good. Friendly staff serving quality food. What happened?

Found a hair in my food!! :( I’ve been getting dinner from CoreLife frequently lately, but this experience has made me not want to return. I ordered online to pick up, picked up my food, and headed back to school for my class. I then opened up my mac and cheese, took a bite, and after the bite noticed a black hair embedded in my food! Note: my hair is long and brown and also happens to be pulled back as I’m eating, and this black hair was literally embedded in the mac and cheese. Definitely not mine! This experience has made me so upset and honestly really grossed me out. I love eating at CoreLife, but now am worried about the sanitary procedures they are taking. I also was unable to eat this part of my dinner once I got to school because I didn’t want to eat something with a hair in it. Super disappointed.

Words can't describe how poor this smells. Most likely the blood that Core Life has served me that the raw ahi tuna is sitting in. I went to the Western Ave location approximately at 6 pm for a build your own salad, craving their GF Ahi Tuna and Miso Dressing as low carb options. 4 persons on staff with an empty restaurant, there were no greetings and helping a customer felt like effort. I explained that I was allergic to nuts and gluten and was met with "I don't knows" when asking questions like "what's the tuna being marinaded in - I know some of your dressings have cashews." No manager came to make my meal but left it to the disgruntled employee who brought me "fresh" tuna. I kindly asked if it was raw and if so, safe to eat because the marinated tuna is considered somewhat cooked from the brine. After sighs and a "yeh, yeh it is" I was passed the cup when I questioned a second time. Thankfully, I ordered a backup build your own steak and bleu just in case. I can't say I'm surprised based on my customer experience event that the tuna smells poor and is sitting in bloody juice. Of course, upon calling the restaurant 3x, I was informed by a kind male that only online orders could be refunded and that I would need to uber back to the store (costing me more money) for a refund. Overall: inattentive, poor food/quality, poor customer service, takes your money without a refund

I decided to give CoreLife another try after a bad experience 6 months ago. I won't make this mistake again. When I walked in the lady behind the counter was getting on-line orders ready. When she was finally done I ordered the spicy-ginger steak broth and a taco. She didn't hear me and gave me a taco bowl instead. I tried to change the order and her attitude became unprofessional. I let the order stay. The broth bowl was excellent But! the taco bowl was disgusting the egg had black stuff on it and no yolk..Simply Awful!.. I will not be returning. My advice to those who order online. Don't!!

My first time visiting ! Let’s just say I will NOT be returning . Took forever just to put in my order , because only 2 people working. Then , to think I was going to have a wonderful looking salad packed with ingredients of choice ! To end up with something I could have done better at home for $12 ! So NOT WORTH IT !! They won’t get my Money ever ever again ! The grilled chicken looks like Dog food 🤮.

This was our first visit ever to a CoreLife location. And the 3 starts are just because the idea is amazing and the food was tasty. I want to think it is only this location the problem and just go next time to a different one. Issues: -The girl who took our order was just rude the whole time. (She also burned my chicken) -No plastic ware, I had to ask the staff for some and they didn’t have knifes available. -Overall dirty. -What we could see from the kitchen was a mess. -Half the drinks were empty. -All trash cans overflowing. Pros: -Soups are amazing! -The Bowls and salad where filling and tasty. -Drinks refreshing and also tasty. I just hope other locations are better.

I have to admit this place is really starting to get bad. Me and my wife used to love this place because it was quality food with workers who took pride in the place, it was obvious. Now every visit there is either something missing in my order, or the food is not cooked followed by recipe.I just got home and realized my whole order of sweet potatoes were under cooked.( Not eatable).when the red haired manager is working everything tends to run the way it’s supposed to. But I have been very dissatisfied lately. One night recently all but 2 employees walked out mid shift forcing me and my wife to find somewhere else to eat.

I'm so disappointed and this my first time back at CoreLife in probably six months because I wanted to give it another shot. I hate complaining but I needed to post this review. I placed an online order today for a build-your-own salad today and it came with no dressing or three other things I had requested. I'm sorry, but who forgets dressing for a salad order, especially when it explicitly listed with the other toppings? I received bread that I didn't ask for and the basic lemonade tastes off like it has vodka in it or something. Never going here again.
