Review Burger King - Albany

JT Thomas
I wanna start off by saying that never in a million years did I think I'd ever give a Burger King 3/5 stars. I eat at my local one at least once a week and it is a 5 star experience every time. The food is fresh, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, overall spectacular. This is why I was shocked to hear from 2 of my best friends, who are driving over halfway across the country, that they did not have a 5 star experience at this Burger King. First off, they are weary travelers. There were MANY food options to choose from. But since I spread the good word about Burger King to them and many others constantly, they chose this the best in fast food. I received word that the food was great, but the pop machine was low on at least 2 flavors AND an employee was essentially mean mugging them throughout their meal with crossed arms. All because they initially told said employee that they wanted their order to go, but switched it due to them realizing their car was jam packed with an entire apartments worth of items and they had no room to enjoy the taste of the King. I was truly at a loss for words. I would never wish a bad BK experience on anyone, and to tell you the truth didn't think it was possible to have a bad experience at Burger King. Please address these issues. Thank you.

The gentleman with the ponytail should not be in a managment role. Stopped this afternoon on ny lunch and waited 15 minutes for my meal as he kept cashing out new orders on the front counter. Asked politely if I could get my oder he said I had to wait till he finished ringing out the other customers.

They may get your order wrong if they are busy. You may want to go somewhere else if you're counting on eating. "Get it your way" not actually true; very disappointed.

Waited 20 minutes in line to get my food. I open the bag my sandwich was wrapped in and found a fly crawling all over it. I threw it out and didn’t bother going back to get a new one. I dont see how you can’t notice a big fly get into the bag of a sandwhich you’re wrapping.

1991 Western Ave. It's sad, really. Corporate should intervene, but it seems they don't care either. Food is inconsistent in temperature. Sandwiches are obviously old and withered. Tomatoes are sometimes disgustingly mushy and should have been thrown out. Cheese is too often not even soft and the meat is cold, or the cheese is dissolved into the bread so you know the sandwich has been reheated too much. Orders are wrong more than half the time. Sometimes the sandwich is smeared all over the inside of the wrapper, making a mess of things, with ketchup and mayo on the top and sides of the bun, pickle slices or lettuce loose in the wrapper, and the wrapper isn't even folded completely closed. Do they play soccer with the food before putting it in the bag? The ONE time Andre was ever even civil was when a manager was standing over his shoulder. His orders are often wrong and he has a major attitude if you ask for what you actually requested and paid for. Serving sizes are also all over the place, so you can't expect to get a certain amount of food or drink with a small or medium order of anything. I'm going back to making my own bag lunches, and won't waste anymore drives there. Avoid.

Now I almost never do reviews on fast food places. They are what they are. Yes some chains are better than the other like I would never choose a McDonald's over a Burger King. But this place has a little nostalgia with me because just down the street was a place called Carol's. Yes that's what Burger King was called before they changed their name from Carol's to Burger King. Anyways I remember when my big brother used to want to take me out for a treat we would go to carols for a fish sandwich fries and shake. And they close down Carol's and just down the street they opened up the new Burger King. We were one of the first to eat at this establishment and try all the new improved foods. Well we didn't think it was possible but we went down there anyways and bought our fish sandwich shake and fries. It was bigger and better and we were happy to continue our Carol's tradition with Burger King. It didn't take long for us to fall love with all the new foods. A big Whopper was so juicy it was a must to grab at least three napkins. After that the chicken parmesan soon became a favorite also. And a new tradition started to build my older brother and I couldn't make up our minds which one should we get it was always a tough decision. After that we just decided to buy all three and start sharing them. That way every time we went to Burger King my brother and I would always walk out satisfied having shared all three sandwiches. Now I'm older and it's impossible for me to eat like we did in our younger days but those memories always come back. Well Burger King thank you for always having good food and thank you for all the memories over the years.

Unfortunately Burger King seems to have lost its appeal. Every time I go to this one my sandwich is not made correctly. How hard is it to make a Whopper Jr with cheese minus pickle? Last time I got it it had ketchup mayonnaise pickle no onion and no tomato.

I saw Wesley Snipes here back in 2007 during his investigation for income tax evasion in I think California? anyway, he kept filling up his soda cup, dumping it out, and then filling it with a different soda from left to right at the soda machine. he skipped the ice, finally filled it up with sprite, then dumped it out again, threw the cup into the garbage then left.

Food was ok. Service not the friendliest. Typical BK

I love this Burger King because after an overnight shift, I go through the drive through and I'm always greeted by the sweetest BK worker, Breylinn. She's polite, gets my french toast sticks just how I like them, always smiling and in a good mood. She just radiates happiness. Wish there were more customer service people who were this pleasant.
