Campus Cafe

I went in 2 different mornings, at opening time. A few locals and a few to-go orders. I wanted to try one of their Alamosa specials but they were out of the Alamosa sauce. Friendly service. Clean. Basic breakfast and lunch menu items featuring American & Mexican standards. Familiar small town diner feel. Walls decorated with sports trophies.

Well, first of all, I love Campus Cafe! It's an awesome place to eat some good and cheap food owned and managed by the original family who opened the restaurant! I never had any disappointment or bad experiences eating here, however, I wanted to try their crepes for once. Unfortunately, I really disliked it, the taste of it was not good, and the strawberry was soggy, it had a pink coloration and the taste was awful, I believe they have frozen strawberries instead of fresh. I'm giving 2 stars because of it, but anything else is amazing!

This place is pretty nice the food is good and the portion sizes are fairly decent as well. the service is fast, but the reason for instead of more stars is that it's not the most sanitary joint, and the fact that they used to be really cheap, but now they raised their prices so it got to the point where it's more worth your money to go elsewhere rather than eat here. Today I ordered the crepes and they were alright. They tasted good, but I was a little sad they didn't let me mix the bananas and the strawberries for the crepes. Ah well...

Really nice breakfast place- typical cafe fare perfected. Home comfort and style. Our waitress, Heather, was really helpful and efficient. Portions were huge. Clean place and, obviously, well loved. No hostess, seat yourself. Order through a waitress and then pay at the counter when done! Will be back!

A friend recommended Campus Cafe, and I'm glad I took his rec. I visited twice in the last two weeks. On my first visit, I had a Spanish omelet with green chile and on my second visit had a breakfast burrito with green chile. Both were excellent, but the omelet was my favorite. On both visits, I had a short wait for a table. They probably have plenty of business due to providing delicious food at a fair price. I hope to return.
