Farmer Boy Restaurant

Today is my grandmothers birthday and she told me she was going here for breakfast with the girls. I called and asked if I could get her a dessert and pay for it over the phone. The lady on the phone was going to let me do it and then come up later to pay for it. I explained to her that I lived in Washington, D.C., an was unable to come up there. I told her it was totally Okay and that I had just got off the phone with her and wanted to surprise her, but that I completely understand. Less than an hour later I check my phone and see that one of her friends sent me a video. These amazing people at Farmer Boy sang happy birthday and brought her a slice of cheesecake on them, but almost mentioned it was from her granddaughter in D.C. This was the motivation I needed to get through my work day. It is nice to know there are still incredible people in my hometown! Can't wait to come check this place out for myself next time I am in town!

Comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was super sweet; like talking to grandma. I ordered the tuna salad with a cup of fruit. My daughter got the All American Cheese Burger with fries and sweet tea (she loved it - as we're originally from Georgia and live our "southern" sweet tea). Both of us enjoyed our meal. Although, if you like a creamier tuna salad, I would ask for mayo on the side to add to it. Everything was reasonably priced and the seating area was clean. It was not crowded and that was at lunch time on a Saturday. We will visit again.

Very disappointing experience at this Farmer boy restaurant. We decided to go to this one instead of the one we usually go to on Canton Road. In hindsight I wish we would have gone to the one on Canton Road because we've never had a disappointing experience at that one. This visit I really can't say anything good about. The food really had no taste, the hash browns were extremely dry, and even salt didn't help add any taste anything. We had to keep waiting for coffee, and when we mentioned our disappointment with the food even though we had over half of our meals left, the waitress made a comment that they couldn't do anything about it because over half of our meals were gone which was not even close to being the case. She said we could mention something to the manager when we went to check out but we didn't even bother because we were so mad about her comment that we just wanted to leave. I'm not even sure why we got to go boxes because we just promptly left and threw them away. We won't be going back to this Farmer Boy, ever.
