Lanning's Restaurant

40 years ago, Sheri and I celebrated our engagement and found Lanning's outstanding. We went back a good number of times thereafter. We moved away :(. February 18, we celebrated our past good times, meals, and this month's birthdays as though we never left. Great experience, great staff ( Hey Jerry), and hope to visit in the summer of 2022. We visited here for our 10 year anniversary after hearing so many good things. Unfortunately, it was one of our worst dining experiences. The host, hostess, and our waiter were condescending and rude. We were told we only had two options for sides - a baked potato or rice pilaf. No substitutions allowed. We were rushed to place our order from the beginning - he didn't let us relax at all. The only saving grace were the supporting staff that worked as valet and bus boys. There are plenty of other nearby options that provide much better food and service and I cannot believe this restaurant has survived with this level of food and service.

It had been 17 years since my husband and I had last dined at Lanning’s in Bath Township. Our visit on Feb 16, 2022 was a memorable one. The personal service, formal/classic/intimate atmosphere truly set the stage for a lovely experience. Our server Brianna and her assistants Josh and Michael, were very attentive without being over-bearing. We enjoyed crab-cakes, filets and a bottle of a reasonably-priced fine cabernet. The value of the experience was worth the price. If you desire a venue for a very special dinner, Lanning’s checks all the boxes:)
