I love everything about Highway 55 in Ahoskie but the atmosphere on the other hand not so much the entire summer 2023 they have had this bad stench coming from their septic tanks did they seem to be refusing to fix and when my family and myself have been in there it has gotten so bad that you gag while you try to eat so we have quit going for the time being and would love to know when the stench is fixed

Hi, I want people to know if you want a good meal; visit HWY 55. The food is hot when you receive it and the servers are very polite and friendly with a smile. The chicken subs are awesome.I’ve been there before but the food is so much better now.

Update- The prices went up. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is fast and very good. While there you must get a frozen custard! As good as it always is.

Highlights were the service, (teenage girls), very gregarious and prompt. And the Pineapple shake. So dang good!! Will be back to try others.
Unfortunately, the cheesesteak was lacking. I didn't like the type of cheese or the soggy bread.
A strange mix of teens & elderly crowd.
The atmosphere needed some liveliness. Maybe some tunes that go with the theme? Cute uniforms?
Kind of a neat idea that could be pumped up.
We will return for sure.

Took my brother here for his birthday.He has always looked out for me .Growing up with just enough he helped carry me until I could carry myself.Taking him out for lunch is just a very small showing of love and appreciation.Him ,myself and my baby boy enjoyed the outing.We will do this again soon.The service and the food was great.I hadn't been here in a while.I am glad we did.
