Okay normally I love this place (as I rated 5 stars). But I came in today and got a bowl with chicken and steak. Today the steak was inedible. Half of the pieces I physically couldn’t chew enough to swallow. They were so fatty. The other half of the steak was charred so bad that the pieces were almost dangerously sharp. I’m not sure why... BUT I’ve been coming here since I was 16 and this was my first negative experience. It’s usually perfect. Thanks for normally being awesome!
Let me get the negative off my chest first. Yes it's a chain so it does chain things I've come to terms with that part. This place just screams "look at how much fun we are" or rather how hard we're trying to prove how fun we are...look at our tinfoil art, look at our eclectic staff, look at our motorcycle hanging from the ceiling, look at our different colored tortillas that don't taste any different than your standard flour tortilla and much much more.
Now that I've got my overly critical cranky rant over with there are many positives. The tinfoil art...you can't help but to try your own, the eclectic staff...thank god their not in uniform and that they actually seem to like it there and that their not stiff and still provide decent service, the decor...actually the motorcycle is kinda cool and I love that they have a picture of Mr. T on their tea dispenser, The tortillas....seems gimmicky but maybe my tastebuds are dead at least they have different options.
The chicken is the star of the meats having both dark and white meat which really causes it to stand out amongst the competitors. The fixings are pretty standard with a few more options which is appealing but can cause burrito overload so choose wisely.
Pricing is on par no gouging going on.
Overall when you're looking for a quick burrito made with decent ingredients this place will do.
Freebird is a fun casual dining competing with Chipotle and Qdoba. In terms of vibe and feel, Freebird wins. I love the NY loft decor with broken bricks and the Statue of Liberty riding her hog. The tiny tin foil art is hard to notice, but it's everywhere and looks cool.
Service is good. The employees fit right in with the atmosphere. I find the food very comparable to Chipotle and Qdoba, but the feel of the place is what lifts them above the crowd. Freebird does offer a Lite Bowl with only 350 calories. Select healthy toppings to put on top of spring lettuce mix. It was really good.

Queso. Order it on your burrito, on the side with chips, or overindulge as I do and get both. ;)
Yes Please. I mean yes more Freebirds Burritos please.
Awesome place and the food is great. First impression was awesome and i will definitely go back on "Tattoosday" Show them the ink and get free nachos! What a great concept.
Kudos and i recommend this place.
World best steak burrito. Freebirds steak burrito is always good for me. but this place is the best among all Freebirds I stopped by. Don't know why, many the way they grilled. You gotta try.
Love this place!. This is my favorite burrito place. Sadly, I have moved out of state so I no longer get to enjoy it on a weekly basis. I've tried the burritos, burrito bowls, and nachos and liked everything I've eaten at Freebirds. All the ingredients are fresh and the salsas and queso are delicious. If you make it to Freebirds, have some queso for me!
Easily beats McD's Chipotle. This is how a burrito should be, you pick your size and all your ingredients from the freshest of meats and veggies. Chipotle may have allowed McDonalds to help in promoting their version, but this is the original and the best!
Get ready to stand in line if it's lunch time... but it's good enough to wait on. Try their BadAss sauce, I love it!
Great tasting, large burritos. Eat at the Addison Freebirds about once a month. Food quality is solid, for sure. Only one time out of many did the cook seem to be having an average/so-so day. Aside from that one anomaly, can always count on Freebird's taste to be right on the mark.
Would describe the workers behind the counter as genuine and friendly. Never any type of issue whatsoever w/ the service, meting out of food portions, etc. Nothing but good things to say about the people who work at this Freebirds location.
Whether you're starving or just hungry, and want a great burrito experience at a reasonable price and are in Addison, Freebirds is the place to go.
Very good big burritos place
Food was amazing!!! Enjoyed it, manager was really nice, he was so knowledgeable and I love the fact that so much stuff is vegan friendly
Everyone is always so nice. They're speedy but they're not rude about it. I'm also a food delivery driver and I pick up food from here all the time. It's never been late, which as a delivery driver, I appreciate to the fullest. So far when I've ordered online, its never been wrong. When I write something specific in the notes like "sour cream on the side please" they actually read it! Very rare for other restaurants in my experience I usually just have to go in person if I want it correct but with this location of freebirds at least I don't have to worry about that. Honestly a really good freebirds and always clean.
I've been in three times over the past few months, and every time the service has been great. It's clear that the employees enjoy working there, which makes it a better experience. Really liked the brisket in a bowl, but all of the options I tried were great.
This establishment has great food, but as a first timer my customer experience was not so pleasant. My questions irritated the hell out of him. Questions like is that spicy? The burritos looked great! I got the bowl. It was just ok.
I've always been relatively satisfied at Freebirds. But the guy that served me was super quick and respectful. As I was eating there he was moving with a sense of urgency to get things done even though I was the only customer in the building. Loved to see that.
Great food. Very fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Certainly Covid conscious. Awesome
