I am a chef and a lover of BBQ and this is by far the best I have ever had! The brisket was beautiful a smoke ring to die for, and don't even get me started on the burnt ends!!!!!!! The turkey was great and the price was great as well! What a great place to eat you now have a huge fan in me!
I found them by chance and have been happy with them ever since. Their Brisket has a wonderful flavor and is never dry. I've yet to find something they make that I haven't liked. The long ago became my favourite BBQ place and everyone I take has agreed that it is the best.
The Sterns are some of the nicest people you will meet and it is nice to see them doing well.

My wife and I ate here for the first time today for lunch. We got the Shackanator, brisket tacos, and the brisket Frito pie.. WOW! This is probably my 1st food review ive ever done, but I felt I just had too. If I could give you 10 stars I would. Well done Jays bbq!!
I like that all of the specials are something unique. Today I had the brisket guisada tacos and they were very good. I highly recommend Jay’s.
Can’t go wrong with anything you order. Ribs are amazing - awesome flavor and always tender!! Brisket is lean but not dry. Brisket chili frito pie is great if you are wanting a change of pace. Cheer wine pulled pork needs to be a daily menu item!
Went there today for the first time. Let's just say the poblano mac and cheese is my new addiction! And the pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich was awesome! Tender pork and crispy coleslaw with a bite to it. Can't wait to try some of the other things they are cooking up. And the service was truly fast and great. Definitely try them out, you won't be disappointed!
I was apprehensive at first, but this is definitely great BBQ, and I have eaten ribs all over the US. I definitely recommend.

Ate at Jay's for the 1st time today. The food is amazing. So much better than any other BBQ place in Abilene. Can't wait to go back.
I had their brisket and it was the best brisket i have had. Also they gave me a sampling of their bacon and that was delicious.

I brought my very picky 2 year old daughter (who normally doesn’t like meat) here for lunch today and was not disappointed. She ate half of my brisket sandwich and wanted to go back for more! Can’t wait to eat this amazing bbq again �
Simply the best in Abilene. Totally moist and flavorful! Had the brisket sandwich today. Couldn't finish it there was so much meat in it!
This is what brisket is supposed to taste like. Very well cooked and seasoned. Sausage was good too. Ribs were well cooked but could use more meat. Candy bacon was tasty even though I ordered burnt ends (There is a difference I wish they would of told me). Everyone was friendly and line moved quickly.
Love Jay’s so much! Their mac & cheese is my favorite in Abilene. Their “pig candy” is incredible, their brisket is moist and flavorful, and they always have the most unique, mouth-watering specials! I can’t wait to get my hands on a frito pie sausage, a cheesecake chimichanga, and a jalapeño popper sausage ball! My only wish is that they were open for dinner too so we could make it there more often!

The brisket elote is one of the best dishes I have had in a very long time. All of the BBQ is absolutely delicious. Fresh. Tasty. Worth it.
Waited in a line about 40 people deep and it was worth it! The Brisket is on point and OMG the jalapeño Mac n cheese….. yup come eat here but get here early. We arrived at 11:02 am it there was already a line
The ribs were the best I’ve ever had. The Bbq sauce has real kick to it and the pickles, we’ll let’s just say they can cause a one-eyed crunch.
DELICIOUS barbecue - worth standing in line for! I can recommend the brisket, sausage, pulled pork & pork belly (which I believe they call pig candy).
Friendliest service makes the experience that much better.
