Monks Coffee Shop is such a perfect little place with a peaceful atmosphere, quaint! I go about 1-2 a week on my lunch break. It's a breath of fresh air. My life saver!

What a quaint artsy coffee shop which has a lot of personality, friendly service, wonderful ambience and of course, great coffee. It's in the heart of downtown so it's a wonderful place to go and hang out but then walk around to enjoy the downtown charm of Abilene. In addition to having great coffee, they also have delicious smoothies and unique and wonderful selections of tea. I love the decor with great art from local artists and has a relaxing vibe to the place that makes you want to just hang out with friends and family and enjoy your time together. The service is personalized and they really want to help you find just the right coffee and tea and are highly accommodating with food intolerances. Would highly recommend this coffee shop.
It's really rare that I go into a business and feel the care that has been put into the business, but also the community. Art on the walls is provided by local artists and they host an open mic night where musicians can play music they want. It feels comfortable and welcoming with eclectic decor featuring a variety of couches and puffy chairs. The coffee is high quality, not very expensive and made to order. It was a nice find in a downtown area that feels neglected.
Sweet spot with simple but tasty drinks and a sweet chill atmosphere! Loved the reading nook and free library and grateful to have grabbed a rad new book! Queer friendly :))
Cute coffee shop right in downtown Abilene, Texas. Convenient to shopping, museums and attractions. Situated next to a beautiful green space with water feature. Visited early afternoon on 4/24/21. Staff was friendly and our order was processed quickly and correctly. Cute decor- don’t miss the take one/leave one library above the faux fireplace. Don’t pass by this gem!
Great atmosphere with plenty of indoor seating as well as a couple tables in front and a city sitting area next door
I loved this place . It's inexpensive and it's great coffee or drinks depending on what you like I had grabbed a white mocha coffee and it was delicious. I usually have to add sugar for my pallet I like my drinks sweet. But this place I didn't witch is a plus.
