We were on a roadtrip; just want to have something nice and simple for lunch. Well, Hickory Street Cafe far exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend chicken salad.

Been there multiple times, every time it is delicious! I always get the same thing, a chicken salad croissant sandwich. It is probably my favorite chicken salad. I also always get a dessert. I tried key lime pie for the first time here, and it was very good, not too sweet, not too tart. The service is never bad. Really recommend.

The ambiance of this place is fantastic. It's more like something you would expect in fort Worth or dallas. From the liver pate to the dessert it was all fantastic. We had the Portobello ravioli and the cod. Both were very good and the wine was great.

Small and quiet with seating placed comfortably apart so you can have a private conversation this place is a "must do" if you are in Abilene over lunch. A small but well executed menu of soups, sandwiches and salads along with tasty deserts makes this a perfect lunch spot. The food is always fresh, well executed and super tasty. DO NOT MISS THE ZUCCHINI BREAD. It is amazing.

To be fair, it was very busy (usually is) and like most places, not enough help. One waitress I saw, must have been new. She was having a hard time giving the correct tickets to the customers. Our waitress was constantly on the go but she never asked if we would like our drinks refilled. After leaving the food, she never stopped by until we got the bill.

Great stop for out-of-towners. Loved the chicken salad and the zucchini bread. Staff was super nice! Hope to come back sometime.

Excellent Taco Salad and cheesecake. Fresh ingredients and made with obvious care. I absolutely love this place!!! A lot of parking available. Very cute location!!

Always great food with fast friendly service! I usually get the Harvest Salad with Peach or Raspberry Tea but all the sandwiches are good and so is their zucchini bread (also available as Gluten Free)!
