Review Yoder's Dutch Kitchen - Abbeville

I went to Yoder's Dutch Kitchen for the first time yesterday. The food was so good. So, I went back today and the food was still good. The food was fresh each time that I went. My favorite was the broccoli and cheese casserole. Also, the fried chicken was amazing.. I wasn't a big fan of the macaroni. However, everything else was fantastic; even the cream corn and cornbread. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food is amazing! All you can eat or you can purchase smaller portions, such as a meat and three. The chicken livers are the best I have ever had! The fried chicken, shrimp broccoli casserole and all the other vegetables are delicious! The yeast rolls and cornbread are fantastic. Everything is homemade. Desserts are extra, but you definitely don't want to miss out on the goodness of them. Come hungry... leave extremely satisfied!

My husband and I ate here for the first time today. It was more than delicious! I especially loved the cabbage casserole; it just melted in my mouth. His meat of choice was fish, which he loved, and mine was chicken livers, cooked perfectly the way I like them. When we were done, all that was left on our plates was a few crumbs!

It's nice inside and is handicap accessible with handicap parking. They have a buffet but because they were getting ready to close out after lunch most items were gone. The cheese and broccoli casserole was hard. The lima beans and string beans were delicious and the only other dish was red potatoes in a sauce that was ok. 4 veggies is called a mini take out for 7.50. Fish, fried and baked chicken were gone. Unless you like chicken livers and they had plenty. I will go back at Supper time starting at 4:30 just to try and see if the buffet is worth coming back for. They are only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for Dinner and Supper. Just to let you know that Dinner means lunch in the South. I hope I can improve their overall ratings next week when I return.

I like this restaurant! They give high quality meals, their menu is large, The cook in that place is very experienced, I love very much eating all their food. The dishes are consistently tasty, the service towards the clients is efficient. I frequently visit this place and I was never unsatisfied. Highly recommended.

Horrible dining experience. Establishment seemed dirty, cups were greasy feeling. The woman standing behind the buffet was unable to identify the food product. All the employees expressed fear of the owner. Bell near the register is NOT to be rung...waitress reported that the last time a customer rang the bell...she "got in a lot of trouble". Food was bland, dry and it appeared to have been on the line ALL day. Definitely will NOT be returning there.

For a place that's a whole in the wall (as in in the country for city folks), the food is really good. Granted I only had two items but those two dishes told me enough of what I need to know: they are good cooks.

The food is perfect. Just like grandma used to make. Desserts are wonderful, like the key lime pie n pecan pie. If u want to get great friend chicken, this is the place. Tender and juicy with a light non greasy breading. Colonel got nothing that compared

My son and I went there on January 25,2018 the food was ok but the meat was not warm and the rolls were hard around the edges. I used to go there years ago and the food was great .For $15.00 a plate anyone would expect the food would be warm.The rolls use to be soft but these were wrinkled and hard.

we eat here alot the food is so good best in town. If you have not eatin here give it a try

Wonderful food and service as always. All you can eat but one plate was more than enough. We had to take desert home for later. 187 mile roundtrip and worth every mi!e.

The food was ok. Not a wide variety of meats and veghies. Poor sal ad bar. Nothing to put on a salad. Price is too high to pay for drink and dessert separate. Would get more business if you combine the two. Won't be going back till things change.

Dutch Kitchen was absolutely great...we went here during a hurricane evacuation and they fed our large group for free...nice to know there are still good people out there! Thanks again

This is BEYOND your typical meat and three buffet. All ingredients are fresh and natural. Home cooking Amish style with a Southern flair. Yummmm. It was worth the hour's drive. Thanks to my pal Mariel Hunkeler for the road trip!!

We drive from Augusta, Ga just to eat there, because the food is so good.

Always good! Haven’t been in awhile but you didn’t let me down! Everyone was so pleasant. I believe the you lady’s name was Morgan she was so sweet especially to my boys I appreciate that

Was disappointed in the meat choice. Fried chicken or fried fish / shrimp. All of the other foods were good. There was a for sale sign.

Too expensive for the food you have to choose from. This place has really went down hill over the past few years.

I was so expecting so much better. Always heard how wonderful Yoders is. Food was just okay but my goodness could it use a good cleaning. My husband got fish and he said they were good.

I was very disappointed when we stopped in at 5:30 on a Saturday night. First time there and no one spoke to help us along. We grabbed a tray and went around the corner to see not much food there. The lady grabbed our plates and we told her what we want, again, there was nothing there to choose from. She gave me back my plate and I was waiting to choose a meat, again, the only choice was chicken. We sat down and the food wasn't even hot considering they just opened at 5pm. We got up to leave and the lady said where is your ticket. We told her we got a meat and 3 and she said that's only during the week. Ok, what ever then charge us accordingly which was 11.99 buffet. So why do we need a ticket. I'll never go back!

The food was awesome and the service is always good.

Just like eating at moms, so good and tasty/sure I will be back soon.

A one hour drive for me, that is Always worth it.
